I cannot get the japanese celestialdial or whatever for smartdialing that someone posted to work, the option shows up in my phone dialer and it is enables but when I punch in numbers nothing happens and no smartdialing takes place. Ofcourse for some bizzare reason regular smartdial isnt working

I thought that celedial wasn't working for me last night and then i realized i never reloaded my contacts

I have to install it as a cab (I can't get an OEM working yet) but it seems to work for me then.

There are specific settings in the app that make it work somewhat like smartdialer - it's currently not installed on my phone, but I did get it working - next time I install it I'll post which of the 1000 checkboxes you need to check

hmm, all i've ever done is run the cab and use the phone. I never even looked for a settings section for celedial and it's worked fine.

I searched XDA through various forums and found no info on live search with AKU 3.5. I have posted the question in the apache question section though.

Live search works fine for me when automatically installed from my external rom with 3.5. I deleted the stock .net1 framework when building my customrom, and used the .net2 OEM from the kitchen oem folder on the ppcgeeks ftp server.

Can you please verify that using contacts to set a location works in WLS for you? That's the only bit that does not seem to work for some of us, and it seems related to .NET issues somehow/somewhere.

My own 3.5 build has .NET1&2 installed, and WLS can't look up a contact.

Sorry, Schett, my fault. Didn't realize it was a specific iproblem when running the program that was the issue. I can confirm that choose location by contacts does not work for me either with 3.5 (net 2 installed).
