I found it, it's in the OS Folder on Helmi's so I assume that's what you meant.

What would cause createos.exe to not run. It does nothing when I try to exexcute it. I think I am in trouble if I cannot even get past step 1.

The registry entry for HLKM\Security\Phone\Skin Enabled = 1 (to allow smart dialer) is duplicated and set to 0 in the OEM folder RSSI_Icons.dll. When I cooked my own registry entry to set that key to enabled, this RSSI_Icons.dll one came along and over-wrote my change every time. I think it might be becuase the UUID I got for my own use is a lower "number" than the RSSI_Icons.dll one, so it went in later and overwrote mine (I used a different UUID from ImCokeMan's since I'm making my own changes). In fact, going back to ImCokeMan's UUID, it is much higher than the RSSI_Icons.dll UUID, which makes sense - his change superseded the one that came before it which is why his registry entry remained and mine was lost.

This may not be the best place to post this, but I'm working with ImCokeMan's tutorial so I figured this is as good a place as any. So, when you make registry edits, be sure they aren't also being made somewhere else in the kitchen!

So I figured out what's munging my BT - it's voice command 1.6! When I install it something bad happens - my BT becomes completely unresponsive and I can't even uninstall VC1.6. It says "cannot stop voice command, please wait a few seconds and try again."

I'll post whatever I find, in case this happens to anyone else.

I posted in another thread that I had problems with BT becoming unresponsive, but thought it was cause dby the WM phone profiles program. I didn't install that program, but did install VC1.6, and just realized that my BT is not working.

Does anybody with VC1.6 have a stable, working BT?

Is there anything different with Helmi's Kitchen Rom than the 3.3 Helmi Custom Rom that could be causing the problem?

elosogrande7076,
This is all to be done via the PC.

I hope there are enough people using this kitchen to give a few pointers as i am directing my attention to AKU 3.5 now. I have good news too...

I just booted AKU 3.5 on my phone and was able to dial voicemail!! I'm sure there will be LOTS of bugs to hunt down, but I think this is a huge step. I'll release the kitchen when i'm done don't worry

I bow to your greatness

I can help organize files and make OEMs... I'll leave the main kitchen stuff to you, since you have more time then me!

Lemme try and get the sprint stuff into OEMs so that will be done, at least.

Ok, digging into the Sprint Stuff, found this gem!

1. Cellone Customization Tools to Package:
[ol][li]Use CabWUZ to extract the CAB file[/li]
[li]In this case all interesting files are in [WINDOWS]
delete CheckFile.exe
delete Customize.lst
Convert Platformxxx.reg to Unicode and save as [GUID].rgu[/li]
Create [GUID].dsm[/li]
[li]rename CM_Entries.xml to mxip_wpc_5.provxml[/li]

done, move [WINDOWS] folder to OEM and rename it[/ol]
!!! NOT TESTED !!!

it's about halfway down in this thread
http://buzzdev.net/index.php?option=...6,22097,page=5

EDIT: Not sure about this now... still digging

Edit1: BINGO... confirmed.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...ionxmlfile.asp

So, getting these suckers into ROM is possible,

Looks like, to simplify things, I will roll all the CM_Entries.xml into one, rename it as above, and add it as a package. Should do the mojo on cold-boot then.

Phew.
