The process is not hard, wideawake has a good tut on it. http://www.ppcgeeks.com/how-to-build...rom-t2124.html
be warn it will not work on vista or x64 Extra Drive Pro will not run on my x64 machine because virtual driver is for x86.

colonels,

I dug around for 30 min. but can not find the answere, the temp location where the cab files are stored ie. if i install MS VC 1.6 from an exe on my desktop it convert to a cab and transfer to the ppc for installation. where are there cab files located on the ppc?

thanks

Are you just wanting to retrieve the voice command cab file? They are deleted from the device as soon as installation is finished so it's much easier to grab them from your PC. Look either in the Program Files\Microsoft Activesync folder (usually in another subfolder in there) or some apps create their own folder under Program Files. Just copy the cab file out of there and then you will always have it and can skip installing those stupid exe files in the future.

Is it possible to take the Colonels ROM and turn it into a kitchen so one could add/remove OEM's?

Thanks!

Chekz, much more sober now , I am confused on what\why you are asking. Do you just want a stand alone messenger? This is the package from WM6. As far as removing it, you will not be able to delete it from the rom.

imkk, yes and no. You cannot just "dump" my rom into a kitchen (as far as I know). Basically you would have to pick it apart and create all the oems. I can help anyone who wants to create OEMs though.

You cant have a program like ms voice command in extended rom. It will stall the customization process after flash. You can only put programs that dont require you to configure or ask questions during install. Also if you have a program that forces a reboot make sure it is the last program in the extended rom or it will reboot the phone without all the programs in the extended rom being installed.
