Guys... do not go by bars... there is no objective measure for how much a "bar" is, and the number of bars displayed may indeed be controlled by Windows CE. Use the instructions I posted in this thread to pull up fieldtrial and use that to objectively determine your signal strength.

Sounds to me like PRL issue, or your Extrom somehow has wrong carrier files..
Mayby re-download files in case something got mixed up?

Edit : I posted my config file to compare with what you guys are using for this AKU3.3 rom, here:

Hey guys,
I went to the download section downloaded:
File Name File Description Uploaded Downloaded Comments
PPST_FILE_SPCS_1_19_003_with_PRL20225.zip Sprint PRL Update 20225

moved the cab to the ppc 6700 ran it.
soft reset the device
but the device info still shows 20224
Anyone else??
Shouldnt it show 20225?>

colonel: Might be a stupid question, I try to update my phone with your new rom every weekend (it's become a tradition) are there major upgrades from about a week ago or will there be a newer file coming up soon?

Thanks

We aren't trying to sell anything so you don't need convincing. Just do it because most all love it and if you don't then flash back.

Anton, mostly just fixes to issues. If it has been a week there is probably quite a bit. I am trying to get a list of everything in the rom together along with descriptions of the apps.

runt, its worth it

i know it is, i just dread reinstalling the apps i need to (dialer skin, mapopolis, gpsdash, etc). not like i have a whole lot, but it still sucks.

i can't remember if i read this somewhere or not, but it .net 1.x in the rom? if not, any chance it can get added? gpsdash needs 1.x, won't run with just 2.0 installed.
