well of course and I have it. I can connect to and from my buddy's pc with it fine, but cannot use the phone to connect.

How do I use Remote Desktop(not the phone app) on my PC running XP?
To use remote desktop on your pc, the computers have to be in the same network. whats the error you get when you try it?

MS VC 1.6 you need to make your own ext ROM as fas as CallerID thru BT Headset here is a link http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/ppc-6...ight=bluetooth

I updated my phone with the new version (PPC-6700) and it totally screams. Thanks for making this available to the masses...

However, I have one small problem.

After I get everything configured the way I want it, I want to go and set personalized ringtones. The system won't let me do it. I keep getting locked up when I click on a name, click "edit contact" then try to set a ringtone.

Any ideas?

Colonel:

I managed to transfer you're rom to a 3.3 rom kitchen. So it should be fairly simple to take that, and apply it to a 3.5 rom and do a build.

On that note, I also found that you have loaded the default.hv with some user.hv entries. I'll collect the list of them in a bit for you, and I'm not sure how the changes apply to the running rom, but HKU should be in the user.hv not the default.hv.

Great work! Maybe you can assist in the 3.5 merging and developing for us. I sure wish I knew how to do that, but don't.

Thanks Sfaure.

I actually found those reg entries earlier today. They were settings for Batti and O2. Thanks though. As far as 3.5, I haven't even had a chance to see what the actual differences are. If anyone knows, please let me know. Once I am content with 3.3, I will probably move on to better things

The main differences are just a few more fixes and all the icons are newer and prettier.

2 things in the way on 3.5.

1. USB support isnt there.
2. SmartDialer doesnt work.

Yes. I wanted to use 3.5, but I much like the changes and work colonel has done on the 3.3 genre. So I wanted my cake and eat it too. Right now I am building using the 3.3 kitchen colonels rom posted yesterday.

Except for the USER registry entries they are binary equivelent. In that every file passes a chksum in the resultant dump images. {except initflasfiles.dat but I have them "equivelent"}

From there I have most of the addons from colonel in OEM "modules" so they should be drop and playable into the 3.5 genre. Its my plan to try and do so later on.

however, the colonel is so blasted fast at improving its hard to go back and re-run the differences. I'm going to apply the differences from his rom released last night later this evening, then try a 3.5 load.
