Is your mobile reporting the error or your PC? What operating system are you using? I use Windows Vista and got an error that the upgrade was not valid for my mobile, until I followed another user's instructions to replace some drivers, and then it worked immediately.

My pocket BCM stopped working when I flashed the new AKU 3.3 using the Col cooked version. Has anyone figured out whatt the problem might be?

Since upgrading to AKU 3.3 2 problems (maybe related)
1. I can't get the AudioGateway to stay open using that method.
2. WMP plays 3 seconds of a track then skips to a new track when BT is active (even when not linked to anything)

- I never had the problem prior to the upgrade.
- WMP dosn't do this with wireless or EVDO or any other time.
- Tried to download BT audio from trianglepowers (they look like not active anymore)
- Googled BTToggle to try that but I only find versions for palm.
- I do have .NET 3 (I think, what ever is the newest)

If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them. Thanks!!
trianglepowers.com is down temporarily, I think. I visited their web site just a couple days ago and downloaded BTToggle. Unfortunately, I deleted it after it did not work on my mobile, so I cannot send it to you. (It did not solve my problem. I was using AKU 2.2 at the time.)

Does anyone know if the standard Bluetooth stack allows you to control WMP with a Bluetooth device? Maybe there is something gibbled along these lines that is causing your Bluetooth device to mess up WMP like this.

The latest .Net Compact Framework is 2, SP1. I do not think that this is a .Net problem, though, as both Bluetooth and WMP do not use it.

I'm sorry I'm not of any more assistance. The only thing I can think of, and I hate to sound like a broken record, is reflashing and hard resetting two or three times before trying it again. It might just be some glitchy thing. If it works right after a reflash and hard reset, just keep trying it as you install things. It might be that some program is causing issues.

OK I unactivated the O2 today programs and the WMP no longer jumped from track to track while BT was activated. I slowly reenabled the various componats of O2 looking for the culprit but never found it - it still works- So if youare having trouble like I am keep fooling around with it.

I still can't get the BT to stay open with the lock phone method. If anyone has a working link to BTToggle or BT Audio (or similar program) please let me know.

Thanks!!

Has anyone ran into any problems with the Palm SMS and this new ROM.
I did an update , and hard reset and everything was working fine. The last think I put on the phone was the SMS Hack. After that I got not Radio and the dial pad would not open. Should I not install SMS?

I know that this thread is turning out to be large, but I took a few minutes to make my way through it and the general impression is that Palm SMS will not work with this release of the ROM. There are some technical details, but I do not remember them. I got the impression that there will be an update to Palm SMS soon that should make things a bit more compatible.

I dont know about other betas, but with beta 4 i have had no problems with any of the 3.3 roms. You might also want to remember that if you install the palm app, you no longer need to copy/overwrite system files anymore as you now have an AKU that is greater than 2.3. PM me for any more help.

Then it resets back to 10 seconds.

I didn't have this problem under AKU 2.2.

Has anyone found a solution to this?

¿GotJazz?
OK, I may have an idea on what the problem was (For anyone else who is experiencing the same thing).

After performing a hard reset, the backlight problem went away. I believe that the problem may have occured due to my restoring a previous image from an SPB Backup (Version 1.5.1) file.

I'm 99% sure that I restored from a previous AKU 3.3 image, but I can't say with absolute certainty right now.

Cheers!

I am starting to get an idea of what caused me to think my volume settings were messed: phoneAlarm. I have not used the alarm features of it much, but after hearing my mobile beeping repeatedly last night -- with the volume muted -- I started to look. Sure enough, phoneAlarm is set to alert you on almost everything by default, and it overrides volume settings. I disabled all of the alarms and we'll see what happens now.
