Most likely you didn't do one or two hard resets AFTER you installed AKU 3.3.

I had the same problem at first - installed AKU 3.3 and when it came up for the first time I tried to Activesync. Didn't work. You need to hard reset.

You need to install .NET CF 1.x or 2.0. Microsoft usually lets the manufactuer decide which .NET to include with the AKU, but this one does not include either.

Ugh, my battery life is draining at about 10% an hour. That's during classtime, so I'm not even using it at all. EVDO's disconnected, wifi's disconnected....

I used SPB Backup to save my contacts as everything else I can put back on manually ( albeit a pain in the ass... massive amounts of registry edits ), but for some reason my contacts will not display upon reloading them back after a hard reset. I've read this same problem a few times, but either some people don't have it or no one has an anwser for why yet.

It's pretty frustrating as my Active sync is being weird too and I don't want to input all my contacts in manually... any help would be greatly appreciated... thank you.

Go to settings, button, "lock" tab, and make sure you check "lock all buttons except power button". Also, check your backlight settings to make sure that the device goes in standby mode after 1 minute, etc.

Argh - people you need to read the topic before you do the upgrade

The contacts issue comes up every third person who upgrades.

YOU CANNOT USE ANY KIND OF 'BACKUP' APP TO BACKUP/RESTORE BEFORE/AFTER A 2.x -> 3.X OS UPGRADE.

YOU MUST USE ACTIVESYNC TO BACKUP CONTACTS/CALENDAR/TASKS IN 2.X, UPGRADE, THEN RESTORE FROM ACTIVESYNC.

Otherwise, it does not work - the database layouts changed, and on-device backup/restores don't work.

So, full backup with ActiveSync, upgrade, full restore via ActiveSync, and manual re-install of all apps.

If you're not able to sync via AS, you are not going to be able to save your contacts. No way around it.

If you don't want to lose em, re-flash to whatever you were running before and restore your backup... get Activesync working, then try the upgrade again.

Ok then, if anyone knows, I keep getting a support code 85010014 when I try to sync. Really irking me as I need my contacts and flashing to 2.2 and then back to 3.3 again is no problem as long as I have my contacts!

you might want to try synching via the internet. search for the mail2web thread and sync your contacts to there once you have them reloaded on the older rom.

If you are doing a sync to exchange server, it sounds like you forgot to reinstall the certificate.
