Followed directions for updating ROM, hard reset, configured activesync to download from exchange server, installed tomtom and spb pocket plus.

SD card went away once and i did a soft reset and it came back.

Not sure if this helps but I try to keep as few installed programs as possible to limit these kinds of problems.

The extended rom unhide/unlock for me hadn't caused any SD issue.

Also I did end up with the storagecard2 problem, easily remedied by changing outlook to not use the storagecard for attachments.

Also I would suggest use of the SD and BT registry changes so they go into active power-save/standby instead of suspend/turning off. It seems to have fixed some issues with poweron having screen latency (3secs or so till I could get it to register sometimes).

They are mfc80u.dll, mfc80u.dll_, msvcr80.dll and msvcr80.dll_. Here are the two strings from the flash file in the rom.

Directory("\Windows\OEM"):-File("mfc80u.dll","\Windows\mfc80u.dll_")
Directory("\Windows\OEM"):-File("msvcr80.dll","\Windows\msvcr80.dll_")

So, looking at this further, it seems that it is taking the .dll_ files and renaming them in the OEM file. Then, with Sonny's fix, we are actually taking those .dll_ files that were renamed and renaming them again back into the Windows folder. So, would it not make sense to swap these out in the rom?

EDIT: Answer is yes. For Mike and anyone else customizing the rom, just swap out the names of the .dll and .dll_ in the rom and everything should work.
So what you are saying is we should also move the ones with the underscore "_" into the OEM directory?

Ive seen a few diff ExtRom unlockers. One I installed only allowed read only access.

The second one which i posted as attachment in the main 3.3 thread allowed read/write. I cant say its related to the dissapearing SD card as I dont have that issue. Im using a sandisk 2gb card.

BTW, could you post the exact steps for the BT power mode reg fix.

I wanted to be sure I was doing it correctly. Someone said its not a dword value.

What is the exact syntax of the reg edit please.

Thanks for the help.

Mike already suggested swapping the DLLs 2days ago.
The problem is that we have 2 long threads to watch so it might have been overlooked.

Same thing happened to me without the gps receiver. When it goes to full screen by itself, its not a problem, but if you try to send it to full screen yourself, it crashes.
This leads me to believe the program might access one of the picture viewer DLLs that we had to swap out.
I suggest full hard reset to rule out any customizations the user made and an default non-modified install of iGuidance AFTER the picture program is running good with the DLL swap fix...

Also remember one of the SD reg fixes changed the "block transfer size" which made music player skip, so yes iguidance failure could be due to a user customization.

OK, I did another hard reset and did not use the TrianglePowers PPC6700 hack program and I'm still having SD card missing issues, so that's NOT the problem.

Me either - running with an unlocked ext rom2 (with just my stuff on it) and sd card (transcend 2gb) has been present and accounted for since friday.

Actually, since flashing, and getting the 3 kinks (dlls for picts&vid, .NET missing, and smartdialer) worked out, this rom has been the most stable rom (stock or beta) that I've ever run.

I guess all that's left it to reformat the card(quik format)
and hard reset WITHOUT card in slot...
