I have read though this whole thread and perhaps I missed it but since the iCS program isnt in this rom for sharing Internet over bluetooth, is there any program out there, pay or otherwise that can let us or give us back BT DUN? I could swear I can remember a pay program that added BT DUN and USB DUN for a myriad of pocket pcs and I ofcourse never had to use it till now as prior roms have DUN built in. Wireless Modem does work for USB but i need to be able to use Bluetooth with my laptop for internet sharing to cut the cords so to speak.

so the file dated on the 1/19/07 is the correct file to use, then, there has been no updated version?

Anyone else notice dramatically improved battery life?

I haven't charged my phone since I flashed it on the 30th. I've talked on it for about an hour, browsed on EVDO for about half an hour, the rest was standby.

Its at 50% right now.

Call me crazy... but I don't remember this thing ever living past 3 days on standby, even if I didn't use it at all...

I've also noticed that the screen doesn't randomly power itself on anymore as long as ActiveSync isn't running.

Closing applications is ridiculously fast now too. I click to close all apps and there is absolutely no spinner. It just does it.

RAM usage is MUCH lower now as well. And it doesn't seem to have a "leak" effect where opening applications and closing them would slowly but surely keep releasing less and less RAM until you had to soft reset the device.

Best part is that it boots hella fast now and it hasn't frozen once. No glitches on the SD side either, even opening Opera and putting the phone immediately into standby mode, something that ALWAYS made me have to soft reset before.

More bravo is needed on this one in my opinion!

Definitely a difference on battery life, and memory usage. I noticed bootup was fast, but when I re-flashed without the Verizon extended_rom I noticed the bootup was even faster.

Just wanted to put in my 2 cents and thank Helmi and whoever else was involved.

Upgrading to Aku3.3 fixed the issue whereby my phone would pause 10 seconds, everytime I resumed from standby (with the SD card in).

Thanks.

Updated but now can't sync...

I did the update in bootmode and followed all the instructions but now when I try to sync it says that there is not enough memory to sync. I have 30mb free and no programs running. Also, when I try to open contacts it just apears for a split second and then dissapears. I've searched the forums and googled all over to no avail. Can anyone help me?

I installed 3.3 on my xv6700 and everything seems to have gone well. I chose to reboot prior to the install of the customization. I would like to install the verizon wireless email sync, tho. Does anybody know which of the .cabs have that program on it?
