Like mala said guys this is just a behind the scenes upgrade. No new software or any major features. Things I notice are faster boot time, perker system, and just a overall better running system. Sorry for those of you who can't tell, but I can. And yes you will have to reinstall everything, unless u done a custom ext rom. It will still auto install whatever you have in it. If you do not like it , you will have to reflash the newest offical upgrade.

Here is a list of changes in different AKU versions.

http://www.mobile-review.com/pda/art...m-aku-en.shtml

Most notably are faster boot time, they cut 15 seconds off of boot and faster screen switching, portrait to landscape.

One other advantage of AKU 2.2, you can remove the battery from the today screen and put the time/date in its place.

This link also has a review of AKU 3.0

its been a couple days now with 2.2 AKU. I didn't notice any big differences but I don't have any problems with it either. on this week I have done sprint rom, 2.2 AKU, its time to try mike's rom now. my 6700 is spoiled by ppcgeeks, lol. thanks for the hard work mike, and all the info that's shared on this forum.

I registered just because of this I just put AKU 2.2 on my PPC-6700 and its working great. I had an issue restoring my SPB Full Backup (my phone stopped working for some reason), but after another hard reset and restore, everything is working great. Thanks for all the info, I look forward to the custom ROM and maybe AKU 3!

Need help with Qwest

Hi all,

I just followed the instruction and flashed my PPC 6700. Mine is from Qwest and since flashing, it is stuck at the first screen. How do I return to the previous rom? Please help me. Thank you.

Do a hard reset. Hold down both soft keys (the keys with the "-" on them). and use the stylus to do a soft reset.
