[Updated:1/2]How To: Get AKU 2.2 on your 6700!

Hey all. I stumbled onto this site by chance and was quite excited after reading some of the stuff offered here. I took the plunge and tried to upgrade to AKU 2.2. Problem is after the upgrade , (and multiple hard resets), I cannot get pass the first, (logo) screen. Any idea what I may try to get pass this problem?

Hi,

I am running Mike's 2.2 ROM on Sprint w/
ROM: 2.11.20 WWE
Radio:1.12.00
ExtROM: 2.06.300 WWE

I am having the following two problems:

1) Phone dialer app: When click on phone get the dialer screen, click on Menu, and then Options, I get the following dialog box "The phone is not ready. Wait 15 seconds and try again." Of course trying 15 seconds later does not help...

2) ROM Rollback: I though to flash back to the last official Sprint ROMs to start clean again, but I get Error 100: Model ID error. The ROM image that you are trying to use is not designed to work on your device. Please check the vendor website and download the correct ROM upgrade."

That weird I haven't seen those b4. If u can flash the orginal, try flashing it after u flash 3.3 or try it in b/l mode.

No luck -- although I am able to flash up to a 3.3 ROM, and/or back down to a 2.2 ROM, I am unable to run the Sprint updates like the "APA_SPCS_20600_303_12700_WWE_Ship.exe" -- either directly or from bootloader mode.

A little background -- several days ago, on my first attempt to go from the stock ROM to the 3.3 custom ROMs, I missed the step in the directions to go to the B/L mode first. That is I ran the exe, and got stuck in B/L mode. I googled and found mtty, and found the suggestion to run "task 25 55aa". Later on, I posted on PPCGeeks and got the "right" task to run to clear out of B/L mode. I think that what I set previously is causing the problem -- and now I am on the hunt to figure what to reset task 25 back to the original values. I found this link "http://en.pdamobiz.com/en/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=449" of someone else who has a similar problem, but no answers...

Any thoughts? Thanks
