prl doesn't update to the ring through volume? I'm lost....what do ya mean exactly? :P

sorry, i meant that i had updated using the recent ring through update from utstarcom...then in installed aku 2.2...and ring through wasn't available...i just think ring through wasn't available from the start even when i applied the ustarcomm update...i fixed it anyways using a manual prl file update.

A PRL update shouldn't be related to the ringthrough issue. That was a ROM update that fixed that.

Speaking of PRL updates, make sure you call *2 to get up to 20225. Us Sprint users can data roam onto Verizon now! I set my phone to roam only and was able to get online just fine. It seems like it's only 1X at the moment, but it's better than nothing at all

I also flashed another AKU rom onto the phone the

"Helmi_UNI_AKU3.5_v1.3"

... and the same thing happened as your 3.2 attempt. I got a flashlight, and nothing on the screen. I just dropped it back into the bootloader and put back on my AKU 2.2 /sigh

How can we work through and find the driver files for the new AKU?
---> I have access to an unlimited number of PPC6700 so frying them is no big deal for me, if you have ideas, ill fry the phones to see this come to fruitation if you have any ideas.

Big J, Yea 3.5 is were we are going after the custom 2.2 hopefully we can get it working. I have taken the time to compile a list of drivers, which is about 75 or so files, I just haven't started replacing and combining registrys to see if it works yet. Thanks for your help, and I will keep ya posted.

totally worth doing aku 2.2 rocks and finally that LAME battery icon is gone!

I read through this thread earlier and I came back to find a link to the AKU 2.2 ROM but I couldn't find it with a quick glance through. Can anyone point me to the post for this link?

I also volunteered to be a beta tester for wideawakes custom AKU 2.2 ROM but I haven't gotten a PM with a password yet.

tried it on my sprint ppc 6700 with sprints latest rom 11/27/2006 and it ran and then stayed on the Telecom boot screen forever, had to reimage from sprint latest rom.
