I'm in the same boat. The guy didn't tell me if they were sending the same phone or not. So at the end of the conversation I asked, "Are you sending an exact replacement?". He said yes. I checked my email and it does state a 6700, battery and home charger is being sent.

They obviously still have some 6700 refurbs as I got one today, but the refurb was not perfect. The display has some weird wavy ripples if you look at it from the slightest angle. So I called Asurion who transfered me to tech services where a very nice lady went through some basic technical steps. Then she said they will ship me a replacement phone.
That's when I asked if I had to get another refurb, she said, "No. Let me see what I can send you instead." She offered me a Treo 700 and a 6800. I said the 6800 sounds nice and she said it will arrive tomorrow. |

I have to agree it would be nice to get a xv6800 to replace my 6700. I cracked my screen a few months ago and Verizon happily replaced it with another xv6700 but mine also has a wavy area on the touch screen almost like the screen was not pulled tight during the refurb process. It is dead center of the display and I figure it is causing some of my touch screen issues i have been having. It has not been as responsive as my old phone but at least this one works.
![]() Maybe i will give the company a call tomorrow and try to play the card and see if i can get a xv6800 before the weekend is out. SCOREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! If anyone has any pointers on how to weasel this thing outta them I will gladly take them.. Maybe I wil lbutter them up and see what can be done. Also I need to find the number to asurion not sure where the hell i put all my paper work. I am assuming to make this happen don't call verizon call the insrance company directly. Well ... I just called Verizon as the replacement XV6700 that they sent to me on yesterday did and the tech person at asurion was unable to call my phone .. went through the entire process in regards of testing this and testing that ... long and short of it ... I should have a brand new XV6800 by this time tomorrow. They are sending it via overnight!!!

ive had a treo 650 for about two or years...and a couple of weeks ago my screen broke ..and insted of calling for a replacement i just went to verizon and picked up the xv6800...u guys think the would have replace my 650...probably not since i went threw like 3-4 in the last 2 years...

Well mine suddenly borke today ![]() I tried everything to fight them for a new one and get upgraded even to the point of sayiong i have had nothing but troubles and if i haev to pay $50 to get the xv6800 i would. Anyone someone please this is crap I hate this xv6700 now after feeling that 6800 in my hand. One guy told me they didnt even have them yet that they were just on display for now. Maybe I will wait a few days and make the call to asurion directly instead of going to the store and complain this pphone has poor audio out of the ear piece.
