Need to find the registry entry to take the HTC Home Plugin out of the Today screen plug in lineup? I've done a search for the past 20 minutes, and it won't come up.
I remember in one of the forums for WM6 someone posted it. If anyone has it or the link, please post it. Thank you! |

To make HTC Home movable you need to perform the following registry change... HKLM\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\TODAY\ITEMS\HTC HOME change TYPE from 5 to 4 |

glad you went ahead with the upgrade...I don't think my full writeup is needed at this point because i can see others are having sucess with the ROM. Of course some people want more customizations, like HTC home movability, or adding some programs here and there, but those are easy things to do after the upgrade.... I am glad Rob released a somewhat "stock" version. I am heavily using the performance speed applications and running smoooth at 624Mhz, the overclocked speed. I might try the XCPUscaler program to speed things up in a different manner, but let's see... Rob said said he is working on the slidesound issue and send me a PM to tell me this. Anybody else have problems with slidesound? It kinda sucks having this program cooked into the ROM and its not working (crashing)...it would make my day to have this work.. I just installed piscel 1.0.5 and the phone is just a gem... Quote:

search around for and you will find:
vista hide battery gauge (i use this too), in an exe form HTC task manager, in cab form But i highly suggest you use pBAR instead (in exe form), it kicks the crap out of HTC task manager (the latest 2.0 version of task manager is supposedly a memory HOG) Quote:

its working just fine on my B7...
i think you need to "run" the program first however, i dont believe its included in the startup programs. just browse to the accessories directory in from the programs folder and look for touchflo and run it. Quote:

Yes, placing TouchFlo in the startup folder will cause immediate problems with the screen calibration on first boot. However, after you have set your device up feel free to cut and paste the TouchFlo shortcut from the \Windows\start menu\programs\accessories folder and place it in the \Windows\startup folder

Issue touchflo: Yes, I can see that in accessories folder...I ran touchflo but OS said "Ftouchflo already running" (error message). just installed pbar -- really great app -- it does both of the tasks that the HTC task manager and vista battery gauge did, plus more (comm manager, soft reset, etc.)

i just upgraded to wm6 thank you robmayer. i am truly grateful. my question is upgrading the radio to 1.43 can i do it and what is the benefit in doing it.

HI All,
I am having a bit of problem right now trying to Install ROM for XV6700 Verizon. I kept on getting an error of : Upgrade ROM Utility Error". Does anyone know what should i do? I have an XV6700 w/ Verizon and currently have HTC ROM version 3.50.00 WWE dated 4/25/07 running and it's work just fine. But i just want to tryout the new ROM that you guy have. I am using a laptop w/ Vista Business Edition. Sync between Laptop and Phone are just fine. Please assit. Thanks |
Not my voice mail number...
Just upgraded to B7 and have Messages/And Missed Calls on my Today screen. It shows I have 1 new voice mail ( I do). When I tap it, it wants to dial *86 instead of my actual voice mail number. I can't find anywhere where there is an *86 stored in my phone. Not in contacts. Also my correct voice mail number is listed in phone settings.

Thanks for the WM6 ROM robmayer. I was holding off since the last Kirvin's C&S was rock solid stable for me. But WM5 didn't support some of the BT functions in my new car.
Been missing a few apps, specifically Total Commander, WMStorage, HTC Task Manager, etc. Is there a way to edit the registry with GSFinder? |

But with the newest version by now, my contact list doesn't sort by Chinese name as former former former version of your ROMS. Why is this? Can I do anything easily to correct it? Further more, the office folder in "programs" menu always copy itself, I don't know what caused this. I have "office mobile", "office mobile (1)" and "office mobile (2)". This never happend to me before. TKS! |
I had to revert back to your B4 version rob. It wouldnt let me store my email attachments to my 4g memory card....it wouldnt give me the choice. I thought you had the storage card drivers built in on B6 but on B7 i had to install the drivers again. Also i tried using the home customizer for the kaiser plugin but the home customizer didnt work.

I had the problem with the home customizer as well, my only solution was to disable the built in one then install another one. For some reason if its cooked into the rom the customizer doesn't seem to know its there. Maybe if Rob cooks in the customizer as well, it will work. :).

I just Switched over to the Verizon Clean Rom. Seems to run fast the way I like it. My question is, do I want to delete my extended rom or do I have to leave it alone. Also, It seems like I would have to use a kitchen to create my own boot screen but I do like this rom. Any easier way to do this? By the way... I'm a NoOb

rxb216..like i said i had to install the drivers again BUT..when you go to the outlook mail attachment storage preference my storage card doesnt show up as a option although my phone reads the card fine. just a outlook problem

Don't have a lot of time, but in answer to the HTC Home Customizer problem... this is what I assume to be an incompatibility issue with the HTC Home 2.x and the customizer. The B7 ROM has a new HTC Home version and that is proabably why it doesn't work. I'll look around to see if I might be able to do something about it though.
Also, search the forums, there might be something on here that someone has already mentioned. |

To fix the voicemail issue on a sprint network go to the phone in settings. erase your number and retype it. exit out and try it on today screen. should work now.
Rob, I am having trouble now with a bible program I have. I am using v.6 The bibles are stored on my sd card. when I leave the program open and the phone shuts off, the program freezes and then crashes when I try to use it after turning phone back on. It did this in wm5 but never in wm6, until the upgrade. any thoughts? |
Hello to everyone. I am new at this...... I installed the 1908_B7.........I LOVE it. It is just what I was searching for. My only problem is that I have a lot of non-workiing shortcuts from a previous install. Is there an easy way to get rid of them? I have a Verizon xv6700. Thank you for all your help.

Custom boot screen?
Hi Rob,
Do you have a way to insert a custom boot screen in your ROM? I made a custom boot screen for the Verizonguy kitchen a while back while testing and I miss it. Custom boot screens in ROM are a great way to identify a stolen phone. Your ROM rocks :headbang: as always! |
Midlet of B7 in my xv6700 dosen't work. When I select Install, Local, no files and folders can be seen. When openning the jar file directly, it seems works. But ended with a blank screen. Anyone can help me? Thanks!

I installed this rom with slide to unlock and magic button to get a battery meter and to be able to close programs to free up memory. I could not be happier. Thnx

i installed the b7 release a week ago and have added with no problems to report:
octrotalk (on storage card - i only keep it active when using it) total commander pocketcm keyboard 0.11b TouchPal pBar TCPMP with FLV plugin oxios memory WM5torage Google Maps I had an issue with the Home customizer that everyone else did (i couldn't customize it) -- all I really wanted to do is change the clock font, but i can live with the default font for now. also the weather app wasn't updating for me until i read in the forums how to delete the registry entry to get it back on track. the HTML email is worth the upgrade, as well as the HTC performance application (i think it's much snappier at 520 or 624, can't tell the difference between the two) |
