After adding an attendee to an appointment in POutlook, I can't remove them from the appointment. I click on "remove attendee" and hit done, or hit 'ok', but neither removes the person from the appointment. Any ideas???

Lightbulb Solution to double-tapping problem

One solution, one suggestion. I haven't seen these mentioned anywhere, but I only read up to page 30 before installing this ROM, and then skipped to the end.
  1. I saw other reports of this and experienced it myself. It was sometimes necessary to tap twice on things to get them to respond. I noticed with use that it only happened when I closed or minimized an app using the X button, but not when I used the OK hardware button. On a hunch, I disabled the HTC task manager feature that allows you to tap and hold to close an app and the double-tapping thing hasn't come back since.
  2. An idea... people are reporting problems with the HTC Home Today module forcing them to hard reset. I turned off auto-downloading of weather data. Instead of downloading when it wants to, it downloads only when I tap the refresh button that appears on the weather tab next to "nnn minutes ago." I wonder if that might correct some issues people are having.

When you're in the city selection dialog, go to Menu -> Weather Options.

I have been using this ROM since it was available.
I found that the device was becoming sluggish and non responsive to screen taps and just plain navigating around.

I disabled the HTC "X" button program which made an improvement.

The 2nd thing I did was disabled the touch dialer which allows the stock dialer to work. The delete button as discussed before doesnt show but does work. I feel that the stock dialer is easier to use and see.

To switch to the original WM6 Dialer, just edit the registry:
[HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin] change "Enabled=1" to "Enabled=0"

Has there been a patch for 911 yet??

Thanks again Helmi_C

Rumor has it that the dialer in the following thread will fix the 911 problem:

Question XV6700 Problems

I installed the WM6 program on mine yesterday but it doesn't fully sync to my PC because it says that there isn't enough memory on my PPC, so I can't sync my Outlook contacts with the phone, which sucks for me because I use this phone for business. I totally love the new features of this new software and don't want to revert back to WM5, What do I do? HELP!!

Paul

PS: BTW, I did remove all of my pix, notes and even extra ring tones but there still wasn't enough memory. Could it be that the phone doesn't have enough internal memory to support this new program?

WM6 Returns automatically Today Screen after coming out of standby no matter what.

Is there a setting that prevents my XV6700 from returning to the Today screen whenever I turn it back on? (I don't mean after it's been totally off, just after the display's been off(standby) ).It happends even if i just press the power-up button on and off, it goes to the today screen. I'm sure it did not happen with the wm5. Before the upgrade it used to stay on whatever program I was running, Unless it was longer then the time I had setup on the the "Today Screen Timeout" time.

Do you have your email options set to save attachments to your SD card? If so, this ROM comes out of the box with the extended ROM unlocked, which prevents attachments from being stored on the SD. If this is the case, open your favorite registry editor and change the value of the following key from 0 to 1:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Profiles\ TRUEFFS_DOC1]
"MountHidden"=dword:00000001

Make sure you save the changes, wait a minute or two, then soft reset.
