The real fix for MS Voice Command and Wm6 rom

So I worked with others on this and have successfully come up with a solution to this problem.
Step one is to download the attached file and extract the files to your SD card.
Step 2 is to run your msvc1.6 .cab install.
After reboot run we run the extracted .cab files.
First run the Voice Command Apache Fix . cab install
then go into your button setup in control panel and set button 1 to start menu and the first button 5 to none.
Next run the LennySH VoiceCommand WM6 Fix .cab install
now soft reset.
Next you need to run the IDTransferV1[1].cab
After install it may ask you to soft reset... this is fine.
Almost there.
Now go into file explorer and find the IDtransfer icon in windows/startmenu/programs
copy that file and go to windows/startup and paste the program in there.
Soft reset one more time.
Now when your phone reboots it is almost ready.
You will have IDTransfer come up and u need to check Enable and click on hide. If you ever soft reset you will have to repeat this process to keep IDTransfer running in the background.
Now to go your control panel and click on phone and set your ring type to ring and ringtone silent.
next we go to the control panel again and select voice command.
under voice command select phone and options.
check Announce incoming calls
click ok to save and again ok to save
close out of the control panel
soft reset
when IDTransfter comes up select enable and click ok.
Now go into your BT pairing and remove your existing BT device and then re-add it.
After that you should be in working order and the voice dial and call announce works fine.

Finally a true solution! It works great ! So far all CID announcements working great. It still works if you use a ringer other than "Silent" but the anouncement is choppy (same as wm5) I can't tell you how happy I am that someone got this one figured out. I almost had to go back to wm5. I cant live without M$VC on this phone. I tried installing exactly as instructed but when I used M$VC from cab I wouldnt get any vocal confirmations at all. When i installed from exe and then followed your instructions it worked great. Oddly enough the cab for M$VC always workedfor me EXCEPT for CID. Now all is working and I will rejoice. TY kyppcgeek and all who worked on this to get it working the way M$ should have had it from day 1.
Question; Can you lend us some insight as to what gets changed with this fix? Were there missing bluetooth reg entries in wm6? I only ask cuz I,m sure im not the only one that wants to have this ready to cook when there is a kitchen available. Im hoping its just some reg entries that I can add to my current VC-OEM. Once again thanks for your time and headaches-All of you.

What exactly is this supposed to fix? Voice command calling works fine on my device (Mogul). I haven't tried using call announcing... is that's what's broken?

No joy here

Tried these steps to the letter, no go here. Now I can't get ANY announcements to work whereas before I could at least get it to read me my emails and text messages. Im going to try a fresh install again see if that helps. If you had MSVC installed before does that matter? I uninstalled it and then started the above steps. I dont need to do a hard reset do I? I've customized this setup pretty good Id hate to lose it but i guess thats the price of the bleeding edge! Great job and MANY thanks all around I never dreamed of WM6 on my Apache!!

WooHoo Success!

Ok, you can disregard last post! I have to manually go in and delete the MSVC and IDTransfer files / folders / links in the program files and windows folders to make sure ALL remnants were gone. After I did that I soft reset and started the process over works like a charm! I can even use a ringer and call announce, it quiets the ring tone down about 50% and talks over it then sets the volume back up to full... VERY cool! Thanks a million for this fix, you guys RULE!

this fix was not intended for the Mogul. It is for the Apache PPC-6700 and xv6700.

Well, thank for the hard work. After, I follow your instruction of msvc 1.6 installation, incoming call announcement works great with my mogul but voice dailing confirmation is still not resolved. Hoping that voice dialing confirmation thru BT will be fixed soon.

Interesting. I never installed the tweaks. I cooked a new ROM last week, and in the process of tweaking things yesterday I finally got into MSVC's Phone options, checked the Announce Incoming Calls box, and reset. Today, I get an announcement of incoming calls and the ringer which wasn't set to silent! ouch! but it works. It also announces emails, text, etc... I dunno what I did other than the checkbox, But it's finally working like it did on the stock ROM

You cooked a WM6 ROM (based on Helmi's) for a Sprint phone? Care to share?
