I noticed landscape mode does not work properly with the 'livesearch' plugin on today screen. If you go to landscape mode, there is no scroll bar to scroll down to the input box on the today screen.

So here's an idea. How about no one but Helmi ever release anything for the Apache? No OEMs, no custom ROMs (that means you, Colonel), no nothing. Just the perfect austere beauty of what the great god Helmi gives us.

Of course, the mods will delete this post for its heresy, thus proving my suspicion that PPCgeeks has freedom of speech only as long as you agree with the overmind. I'll be sure to take a screenshot for posterity.

Helmi reverse engineered enough of Microsoft's and HTC's code to make it work on a device it wasn't meant to. He didn't write Windows Mobile 6. Let's not pretend that he's any less a humble pirate than the rest of us, neh?

Hi, you're an ungrateful tool. It was a huge unndertaking to port wm6 to the apache. I know, because I put over 40 hours into working on it before things in my life pulled me away from ppc hacking. It wasn't just a matter of hacking together the right files. Just the xip alone was like re-writing the damn OS. It would have taken me a lot more time to get it to the point he has.

Your paranoid cynical statement about your post soon being deleted by the "mods" was just pathetic. Mike & the gang have better things to do than delete your sad little opinion...and it is just that...sad...and little.

Seriously, find another board to troll.

What this and most boards throughout the internet prove over and over is that human nature sucks horribly and for that reason alone War is inevitable and to be expected globally, forever.

Once you can grasp this fact you will also realize the fallacy of the modern "progressive movement"...

Enough said. Get this thread on topic please. If you don't have a particular bug (or a patch for one) then kindly refrain from posting to this thread--it's large enough as it is. People click here looking for help--not whine and cheese.

Thanks...

Just a note, the fix in item 5 of the first post (Voicecmd Apache Fix2), completely hoses up bluetooth and voice command on my phone. I have to uninstall voice command, delete my headset pairing and reinstall everything to get back to what was working...

FWIW I had posted earlier about problems with registering RemoteAmp on this ROM build. That problem has been resolved by completely clearing the SD card program files folder that RemoteAmp had previously installed, soft reset, reinstall, then registering with all uppercase characters (previously didn't matter, but now it does).

On my Sprint device the only problem I have now is the secure WiFi connection that seems to be pretty common. I was able to get it going with the workaround, but that has never lasted long. I'm going to setup an old router as an access point tonight using older security just to get me back to my home network until one of the memebers figures why it is doing that. My router that I have problems connecting to is a bear anyhow because it is the Kyocera KR1 used with my Sprint data card (I live in BFE, so no land line ISPs, and the satellite route was expensive and lame.

Thanks for the great work everyone!

PS: One quick question: Does anyone know how I can get this ROM to make that neat little sound that some of the AKU 3.5 builds did when a menu popped up (just a soft little tone )? I really like that effect and so did my wife.

This one sound was the reason I dug through the AKU 3.5 kitchen last week, and I still haven't figured out how to get it into WM6... Anyone have any insight on this? I didn't find what I was looking for, or I'm not putting it in the right place, or something.

i've used this rom for a week and all is good but only one is annoying .. whenever i call my operator to check my left account balance (dial 999) it shows the same response like dialing 911 (phone freeze for couple seconds then beeping loudly) but eventually connected.

i've tried to install new dialer labeled 'big buttons' but that 'strange response' always come up again.

i live in indonesia and my provider only has that number (999) for its customer to check their balance (i'm using pre-paid).

anyone has the same problem like mine and has the solution/workaround ?

oh.. for detail.. i'm using utstarcom hacked with ruim card, boot loader version 2.02, radio rom 1.41, n using helmi's generic wm6 rom, and i also already deleted the ext rom data to avoid oem software configuration after installing the room.

but.. despite of this troube.. thx to helmi and the rest member of the team for bringing this marvelous rom available for us

cheers!
david

I was wondering if anyone has this problem...

I live in New York City and when I return to street level after riding in the subway the phone does not work. It appears to have switched itself into flight mode. I have to manually turn flight mode off and/or turn the phone on in order for it to wake up. Any suggestions?

Josh
