I found another little glitch.
When I have BT on, the box in the mode tab that indicates "Make this device visible to other devices" keeps on unchecking itself after a soft reset.
And so my BT headset keeps losing it's link.
Once I recheck that box, the headset works perfectly. Sometimes I have to re-designate it as the handsfree device, but not always.

Unhappy Thanks well kinda

First of all this installation was pretty easy to do, and I upgraded my friend within ten minutes of mine.

Its been 24hrs since my upgrade and my phone has locked up twice when while restarting. I have had to reinstall both times.

My friend however has had no problems. I will let ou knw how it goes from here.

Just an FYI. I have a Verizon xv6700 with the 1.02 bootloader. I run Vista Ultimate 32 bit. Like a couple people before mentioned, the download that says it is for the 1.02 bootloader kicked a 150 error, but the other download seems to have worked (so far). When the software tries to gather information from your device in the installation it doesn't report anything. I ignored that and pressed on with my fingers crossed. Device was finicky when I set a password, but I have hard reset it and will not specify this time...

xv6700 wifi issues

I am aware of the wifi issues that have been discussed with the 3.5 upgrade- My problem is that while I can connect to WEP and the arrows lock, any attempt to surf automatically brings up the wireless dialer "777" and so it clearly is not working- I haven't tried an open network and cannot connect at all to more secure networks (like my home)-

Any other 6700 users having a similar issue?

I originally tried a goodlink recovery from backup(which failed), and then tried a new PIN.
Anyone have any luck with WM6, Sprint and Goodlink?
These are the steps I used during the entire process and my GoodLink did not require a reinstall, just a reset of the password:

- GoodLink backup to the SD card
- Did the unrar/exe/bootloader/ROM install process
- Soft reset before the Sprint customizations hit
- When the phone came back, I clicked the GoodLink icon and it prompted me to "restore a backup y/n?"
- I said yes, entered my password (which was the same as my old one), and voila

You might try reflashing your phone to stock, installing GoodLink and getting that working, and then WM6'ing again ensuring your backup is on the card and not on the ROM.

ONE question. How do I change the schedule for the automatic profiles on the HTC home page? My phone continuously goes to silent/vibrate mode by its self.
I'm pretty sure that its based on Appointments in your Calendar.

I am assuming so since when GL was hanging on me, I couldn't get to the preferences screen to check the status where the GL SN is shown. Or were you finding it another way.

It doesn't make sense to me why the WM6 upgrade would cause it to change. Figuring that out is a good puzzle. Not any help, I know, but I agree it is odd.
Basically, I'd jotted down all the settings from the GoodLink Status page before I did any upgrade. The Serial number showed the ESN prefix when I was running WM5 and a working Goodlink. After the ROM upgrade, when running the GoodLink installer, the Device Info option showed the serial number as IMSI: which I noticed was substantially different from what I'd seen before. After backing the ROM back down to the latest supported Sprint ROM, my Serial was again an ESN number, which GoodLink was able to install on.

All this being said, I'm not SURE that the IMSI vs ESN has anything to do with it at all, BUT it's different, and even though I had a brand new GL PIN to reactivate, it didn't work. The clean install stated that my carrier wasn't supported (wrong, since it worked earlier). My second attempt was to perform a GLRestore from a backup, which hung at the "downloading services" prompt (again, not surprising, since my Serial number changed between the backup and the time I did the restore).

I'm not 100% sure on how all the GL interaction happens, but it seems that it's got to be related somehow. I'm curious why the Serial would switch from an ESN to IMSI (I've heard rumblings that it's a CDMA vs GSM thing?)

I've not had the chance to try again, and travel for work may keep me from doing so for a couple more weeks. I can't have the phone sorta funkified and not getting email while I'm on the road... *sigh*
