It is preferred that your device be in bootloader...you will get an error about not being able to retrieve settings, which can safely be ignored. If you are getting the dreaded Can't connect Error 101, you should try the NoID RUU selection (not avialable if your bootloader is 1.04/2.04/2.05, you'll have to downgrade your bootloader first). Also, try flashing a stock rom for your carrier and then the kitchen - be careful not to flash a AKU 3.3 update as this will update your bootloader to v1.04/2.04/2.05 (which is undesirable). If none of that helps, then a factory reset or bootloader reversion may be necessary.

Re: Apache WM6 CE OS 5.2.1620 (Build 18125.0.4.2)
Tried to download new ROM with no luck. I might have gotten shafted, but I bought a used XV6700 and it appears to be stuck in bootloader mode with SERIAL (or USB) at the top of the screen and v1.00 at the bottom.
Verizon store was no help (surprise?) and I would just like to make this device work or not before I run out of time to send it back |
