Apache WM6 CE OS 5.2.1620 (Build 18125.0.4.2)

Havent been around in a while. Sprint replaced my 6700 with a 6800 and now I'm trying to revive my 6700 to use around the house as a wireless remote (i coded some bluetooth stuff specifically for it). It's stuck at the bootloader screen. If anyone has aim/msn/yahoo and wants to walk me through it to the point where I have a working phone, I'll buy you papa johns pizza online or send ya $20 via paypal.

thx for all your help. I finally decided on how to end the phones life. 7lb's of thermite and a clay pot. It will be fun to watch it go.

Haha, if you think this rom is good you have yet to find out what good is. Use a kitchen! This ROM is supper buggy.

GOOD GRIEF!!!! I have spent 2 hours now trying to get the stupid wm6 rom to work and it turns out it's because the incredibly lame "2.05 bootloader" is on my phone!!!!!!! I CAN'T INSTALL WM6 WITH 2.05 BOOTLOADER?!??!?!? LAMMEEEE

I only found this post: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=33076 that tells me how to downgrade my bootloader but it's wayyy too complicated and I run more of a risk of bricking my phone.

So, is that the only way to downgrade my bootloader, and if it is, is there any other way to get wm6 on my phone with this lame bootloader??

And you're LAME for trying to use this old ROM. I just love how people dig up these way old outdated threads. C'mon, this ROM was built when the apache had v1.00/v1.02 bootloader. Since you're a noob to these devices the phone you bought has the newest AKU3.3 WM5 junk rom. With that also came the new bootloader. We now use the kitchen which supports all bootloaders. This rom is buggy! USE THE KITCHEN!

For some reason I am unable to receive incoming calls. I get incoming text messages AND I can call out. I'm assuming it's problems with signal strength. On Windows Mobile 5 I used Fieldtest.exe. Now that I've upgraded to WM6, I no longer have that app. Is there a stock app that comes with WM6 that tells you the actual signal strength?

I tried this,

1. Open up the phone app
2. dial ##778
3. hit send
4. a screen will pop up asking for a code
5. enter 000000 ( thats 6 zeros)
6. click ok
7.You will be brought into the provisioning of your phone
8.From the top left, select Modem Settings.

in the modem settings, I changed preferred mode to CDMA Only...

For some reason, I cannot accept incoming calls when i'm in EVO...
