Re: Apache WM6 CE OS 5.2.1620 (Build 18125.0.4.2)

Hello,
I have upgrade one of the verizon xv6700 to OSWM6. When doing my second phone I put it on bootload like i did with the first one and hook up on my USB cradle, start the upgrade and when checking data on my phone it hangs and comes back with a message CAN NOT READ PHONE DATA MAKE SURE IS HOOK UP AT USB DEVICE. But reset and hook on USB and it syncs??? can you help me to upgrade the second phone?

Much apreciated.

Latinflyer.

Re: Apache WM6 CE OS 5.2.1620 (Build 18125.0.4.2)

I've been away from the ppc6700 forum for awhile. I downloaded the update version from this thread yesterday and tried to upgrade my Sprint ppc6700. While doing the upgrade, I got stock in the bootloader mode with the message that I needed an updated version. I eventually did a hard reset and reverted back to my pervious version of the operating system, but any ideas on what went wrong and what I need to do to perform the upgrade?

Re: Apache WM6 CE OS 5.2.1620 (Build 18125.0.4.2)

I was thinking about erasing everything out of the ext. ROM and using that space to install programs... But before I do something like that, can anyone tell me if this is a good idea or not? (Do I actually need anything that's inside of the ext. ROM?)

You SHOULD install everything into the ext rom.

Re: Apache WM6 CE OS 5.2.1620 (Build 18125.0.4.2)

Hi, I am very grateful to you guys for all of your hard work. I bricked my sprint pocket pc 6700 yesterday trying out the rom update. I am going to try it again if the sprint store fixes my phone. Can anyone please tell me how to do this properly (very technically challenged). Do i plug my phone into my vista computer and then do the
bootloader mode (RECORD+POWER+RESET) with it still plugged in? Then do I click APAC_WM6_R0_[Ur Operator name].EXE on my computer (or is it supposed to be downloaded onto the phone before i even begin any of this) and then click install wait till it finishes. if all goes well, then do i unplug before pressing Left Softkey+Right Softkey+Reset and then press Y ?

Please help a girl out
Thanks!!!

Re: Apache WM6 CE OS 5.2.1620 (Build 18125.0.4.2)

6700development.com has a few robmayo versions. Only problem is they're made for bootloader v1.02 and below so if you have anything else don't try it.
