Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308

Hi everyone, I've just flashed my sprint ppc6700 with wm6.1 from wm5. This is my first time doing this. Everything seemed to work flawlessly in the Kitchen, etc. Seems like most everything works on the device, except the wireless stereo. I have the Moto S9 headset and it syncs but plays music choppy and quits. Phone part works ok. Also, while in the kitchen I selectd lots of things that sounded like I might want to try...for example battery meter...additional ringers, etc, etc. How do I access those new things? It looks like I have just a basic download at present? I'm sure there is something simple that I've missed. Any help will be most appreciated.

Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308

I searched around for "country code error" and the only answer I have found with regard to that error is to use the NOID RUU. The problem is that i have already set the RUU to NOID in the kitchen and I continue to get this error. Is there something else I need to do?

My MP3's skip alot in Windows MEdia Player - is this due to lack of memory on the device?

I heard there's a way to use your storage card as a sort of virtual memory, how do I set this up and will it help with this problem?

Or should i ditch wmp and use mortplayer ?

Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308

I am having interesting issues with the 6.1 kitchen. I upgraded fine from the 6.0 kitchen. The original ROM went on my phone just fine.
However...
I have no pics/video messaging option now.
Anytime I try to load a new ROM, I have to load the WM5 ROM first before I can put any ROM on to the phone from the 6.1 kitchen. Anytime I just try to load a new ROM from the kitchen, my phone gets "stuck" at the boot screen where it shows the first picture I loaded.

I had to go from the 1.04 to the 1.02 bootloader just to be able to load any ROMS from the 6.1 kitchen.
I have searched and searched and can't find any info anywhere on if/how I can upgrade the bootloader from 1.02 to 2.02.

Can someone please help me? Any suggestions?

Hey guys,
Thanks a ton. And when you get the chance, this is obviously a lower priority, but my wm6.1 RDP client wont take text entry. Anyone else experiencing this?

Just when I've grown attached to a rom and registered all my software....bewm.

Let me know what you guys think. Search has turned up nothing for me.

Thanks again!

Haven't seen this issue before- When I enable bluetooth, I can not hear any dialtone or anything when I dial out - whether I have on a bluetooth headset or not. The call connects but the person on the other end can't hear anything and I can't hear anything. When I turn off the bluetooth, I have no problem making calls. Before doing a hard reset I thought I'd see if anyone has a possible solution.

Don't know about the "virtual memory" thing, but are you playing files from an SD card? If so, did you pick the standard SD or the SDHC memory card driver? I pick the SDHC driver and had to alter the Block Transfer Size to avoid skipping and other craziness. The standard driver didn't have the problem, but I needed the SDHC support. If you are in the same boat, try changing:

HKLM\Drivers\SDCARD\ClientDrivers\Class\SDMemory_C lass\BlockTransferSize

from 64 to 32.
