That's curious...it should have told you to install .Net when you ran the installer.

You are the second person I know with this problem. I'm looking into it.

Just to warn everyone, the HTC Duo Touch Random Access still messes up the contacts soft button rather than woking correctly. The right soft button is still there, but it will not launch, and basically takes away your contacts list, though all the actual contacts are still there. Just a heads up.

Is there an issue with HTC task manager and what is that desktop that it is showing.
Yeah, I am running into this also, and I don't know what changed, the task manager now showing some hidden apps anymore, or if it is that the "desktop", basically the today screen, and the menu bar environment is not correctly being hidden.

White screen : Today screen is unusable, as is the dial pad. I just found out that it's not retaining contacts either.

I think I'll flash a "no frills at all" OEM and see what happens, then add on from there.

I just hope to get the internet/text/email back, and get rid of this white screen.

howard315 - As GGuruUSA mentioned, you may have a firewall blocking you. Some software is easy to forget as being a firewall. Norton Security Suite has a software firewall embedded in it, and some peer-to-peer monitoring software (Peerguardian, for example) also acts as a software firewall.

You might want to try booting up in Safe Mode, and seeing if you can get through.

Just a thought,

Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308

I am now having a new problem, that I didn't have before todays update, though that is not necessarily what is causing it. Attempting to set up options for the "Today Agenda" today plugin, is freeing my unit. After selecting options from the today settings menu, the device freezes, and won't do anything but dim the screen until a reset. Though I can turn it off and on, but I don't get to anything but the Slide to unlock screen.
