Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308

hey just stoping in to drop more info about my mms issue it seems i get the pix after 48 hours LOL. maybe its an issue authing to the server or the timeout for checking/downloading. i also wanted to note something else as it may seem wroth while.

in 5.0 6.0 ect i was able to set a short cut on the record button to go to VJCandela.
this is not the case in 6.1 it lets me put the folder in the start ment but not assign the program to the buttons. "push and hold for flash light" anyone have this issue. not really a big deal but wroth noting

Flash a radio. All by itself. And .Net CF is not .Net (CF is for your PPC)

Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308

Few more days a few more things I have noticed.
6700
sprint
xp
bl 1.00
htc x 1.5 and no s2anything
Mailstreet Exchange Push

POWER
-------

I have no problems with power, I however did notice when I accidently left live messenger on the other day my battery bar on vista addon thing was 3/4 down I turned it off it went to full.

I have set everything at lowest levels possible for on battery power. Today timeout 1hr which is big one. I have gone 48hrs with little talking just txt and email and still had 80 percent power.

I don't see a power problem at all. I have the same levels as the last 6.0 rom. I do know that every 8 months I am buying 2 new oem batteries, but 20 bucks on ebay doesn't break my bank.

Comm Manager 10 button style
------------------------------
I can't put it in the start menu like wm 6.0 ROM.

Activesync and XP
-----------------
No issues just watch the usb to pc switch it has no issues. Have to say with Exchange I don't use AS but 2x's a month to add or remove programs is it.

SD card
--------
normal drivers. first time i loaded up iguidance maps from my sd it said no sd but this is common in WM to forget the SD card is inserted. Soft reset and that was all working again.

Can't complain and I really like threaded SMS. That was worth the update in and of itself.

One more thing.. do you all realize there is more then one function to the off button on top?
there is off and there is backlight off only?? Maybe that is elementary but I had mine for a year without relizing that.

My 2 cents is to K.I.S.S. I know we all want to go through and check everything but having the 6700 for 2 yrs now I know what I use and don't use and furhermore what I don't want. I can't honestly recommend using HTC X 2.0 or slide 2 do anything.

I would be the happiest man on earth if sprint would open up MMS for us to use.

Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308

Just updated BuildOS to the current version and when I try to use my old user/pass it tells me that the pass needs to be a min of 5 characters.

I then use a 5 character pass and it brings up the 'fail1' window stating the time of the failed login.

Do I need to request a reset of my pass?

Done. This restriction will be removed w/ the next release.
