I'm still having this same problem. I've deleted nearly all options just to see if it will build and still no luck.
Running Vista, bootloader 2.02, tried standard and NOid.

Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308

Has anyone had an issue building the ROM file??

I get and error when I click build rom. The screen comes up to donate (which I of course did! It's worth it). I "X" out. Then I get an error that says "ROM folder does not exists".

Anyone else get this??

Make sure you are using the proper selectins.txt from the projects folder. Do not use old selections.txt files.

Finally fixed this. If you click on the build os icon the very first time without right click and selecting run as administrator it won't run thru. I had to uninstall and reinstall then right click and run as admin from the folder and now it works fine every time I use it.
Hope this help someone else.

A small nuisance, but apparently this build of 6.1 doesn't recognize that + is to dial out (011). The only remedy was to change all my international numbers to start with 011.

Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308

When I follow the instructions on www.ppckitchen.org - it says download the BuildOS.msi... i downloaded it to my PPC6700 and when I try to run it it says :

There is no application associated with BuildOS, run the application first, then open this file from within the application.

Currently running WM5 that came with the phone.. what do i do? thanks

My MP3's skip alot in Windows MEdia Player - is this due to lack of memory on the device?

I heard there's a way to use your storage card as a sort of virtual memory, how do I set this up and will it help with this problem?

Or should i ditch wmp and use mortplayer ?

Don't know about the "virtual memory" thing, but are you playing files from an SD card? If so, did you pick the standard SD or the SDHC memory card driver? I pick the SDHC driver and had to alter the Block Transfer Size to avoid skipping and other craziness. The standard driver didn't have the problem, but I needed the SDHC support. If you are in the same boat, try changing:

HKLM\Drivers\SDCARD\ClientDrivers\Class\SDMemory_C lass\BlockTransferSize

from 64 to 32.
