I was looking at start menu..settings..system menu and there is a rudimentary "task manager" prog which does exactly what the missing tab under "memory" did on the 6.0 kitchen.

So maybe this is by design in the new 6.1 kitchen?

This is the first time ive ever tried to upgrade an operating system on anything.... any advice to get the most recent wm6 on my verizon xv6700 - any pitfalls to look out for? any retard friendly instructions

I use McAfee, and I haven't had that happen. That being said, Updater is compiled on my machine too, so McAfee may do something different on my machine than yours.

Hi! Awesome Kitchen! I am having issues with Microsoft Voice Commander. This worked fine in the WM 6.0 kitchen. Everything with Voice Commander works fine (phone, status, contacts) EXCEPT when I try to use "Play [insert favorite artist name], I get an error box that says "Voice Cammand.asx -- The file 'Voice Command' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its compnents cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring the file."

I have included the selection file that I have used.

Can anyone help? Thanks for all the hard work! My XV6700 is faaaaast!

ok i got it 2 work once
but now it hangs after i open Apache_Helmi_WM6.1 Selections.txt
and i have 2 end task .....ive already tried like 10 times and it still wont load

EDIT:
finally got it workin
seems like if u dont have a strong enuff connection it will just hang


also
does this rom lag for any one of yall?
from 30 mins or so that ive been mess with it ....it seems 2 be very slow
when i type a txt msg i have 2 type super slow or it wont register

The internet connection is not used except for the initial logon, and that is about as minimal as it comes. Just a guess, but your PC is probably short on CPU speed, short on RAM, has a slow hard drive, or has a combination of the above. Be patient, and it should load.

Hey, guys, thanks! New 6.1 based Kitchen is nice ... big improvement on BT connectivity. All of my BT headsets now connect automatically just like they used to with WM5 stock!

I just donated again towards the effort ... third time. First went to Helmi, can't remember where the second one went, this time to the PPCKitchen site.

However, I do have a couple of issues ...

First one I've had ever since leaving the WM5 stock: WMPlayer not auto-rotating the screen when I go full-screen. I have to either manually rotate the screen or open the keyboard. Anyone found a fix for that yet? One that sticks?

Second, even with the updated Apache_Helmi_WM6.1.rar (checked again today), I still can't connect to my WPA enabled home network. I can connect to my neighbors unsecured one (shhhhh...), but not mine. Any ideas?

Edit: My WiFi problem was due to my router being set to "G" only. Set it to "mixed" and all's fine! I forgot the XV6700 is "B" ...
