I just updated BuildOS files and creatd a new kitchen. During the process I was prompted about 100 times for overwrites related to HTC Home.

When I was finished updating, I can't get HTC Home running (either normal boot or tinkering with Today plugin options).

I did a soft reset and then a hard reset at the end of my update process.

Any suggestions?

SOLVED: Did a new kitchen with the older HTC Home (top) and selected Colour Icons. Works fine now.

I'm having this bizarrie issue where every single build I attempt errors out with "kitchens\PPCGeeks_OEM.rar / File create error"

I've tried the recommend "File create error" fix (changing the directory's permissions), reinstalling, changing the software selections, etc. but still haven't been able to get the error to go away. The build always fails at "Extracting: kitchens\PPCGeeks_OEM.rar" (I've tried downloading different OEM.rar files, so I don't think that files is the issue).

Anybody have any ideas?

I have the proper boatloader selected and the proper carrier and all my drivers are the same as they were when I first did it, but for some reason I still get an RUU stopped working error. If anyone'scome across this Id love to know what you've done because I'm running out of ideas haha. This is quickly becoming my favorite site lol.

If you're getting an error during Extracting, 99% of the time you have a bad download of the .rar. Test your .rar by opening it in winzip/winrar and selecting Test from the menus.

The next most common error is out of drive space.

Last, if you are using a modified ppcgeeks_oem.rar, it's botched and you are on your own.

Is your phone in bootloader mode when the RUU starts? It should be. Also, if you are using v1.00 bootloader and Vista or Vista with original WMDC version, you will have troubles.

I've tried re-downloading ppcgeeks_oem.rar twice, the .rar file extracts without error if I open it with winrar (it also tests without error) and there's 52Gb free on my C drive. This is all with un-modified ppcgeeks_oem.rar files. I'm plum outta ideas

i had this SAME problem!

i found out it ONLY happened when i had selected htc vogue camera. i unchecked it and use the regular camera. i hope this is the solution for you.

We have a winner! After removing the htc vogue camera selection the ROM built without issue! Anybody know how to go about reporting this bug?
