Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308
As has been stated numerous times, but still not enough - THANK YOU for this build! The BuildOS along with this Kitchen were both extremely easy to follow after reading the related PDF of instructions. It took some time, but I finally got ROM'ed and it feels goooood...
I have tweaked my build out almost to the exact detail I love, yet I need some help finishing the last touch. I have searched the forums and cannot find a related thread or comment to this subject. In creating the ROM in BuildOS, I did not select the HTC Customizer app as the pop up states "Not Recommended for Apache use". I just used the HTC Home Plugin with color icons. After the build is complete, everything works fine, yet I have no way of customizing the home plugin. In other words, I cannot change the clock font, the icon set, etc. as I could in the HHC app. Is this the accepted end result for the new app, or am I missing something? Is this just a case of replacing said files with new font files named the same, or completing a series of steps to perform a delicate manipulation of the registry? Please direct... (kneeling on shag carpet to give honor to the Kitchen Zens). side note - shag carpet was only a metaphor used in describing a painfully dull carpet installed in my office... |

Thank you for the upgrade. I really love it!

THat happened to me the first time as well... When you you select the HTC Home, you MUST also select what type of icons you want... It should be the selections directly below

Quick question then guitardoc, should I not choose the HTC Home Plugin then during the build and just install this CAB after I complete the ROM? Or can I try to add this cab into the ROM build as an OEM package?

I assumed that you didn't want to reflash. This .cab isn't recommended to be converted to an OEM as far as I know. Last edited by guitardoc64; 05-09-2008 at 09:00 AM. Reason: more stuff... |

Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308
Has anyone seen a problem with sms with 6.1? I've noticed that some of my incoming messages seem to get "stuck" and keep coming in and repeating themselves. Also when I try to send messages, I get the error message could not be sent, would you like to retry ALOT, its very annoying, I usually have to power cycle or atleast turn my radio off then back on.
I have yet to see a pattern with this yet, it doesnt seem to matter if i have a data connection going or not. At first I thought it was a problem with alltel, but it seemed to start when I went from 6 to 6.1, and its been going on for weeks since. I'm thinking of rolling back to see what happens.
