Here's one I've noticed. I really like the new Pocket plus 4, but it has conflicts with the HTC home Plugin as far as I have noticed it's prone to freezeups within seconds of the app loading lasting as long as a minute. I have only observed this with a HHC Customiser modded plugin. with the plugin disabled, or left out, Pocket Plus 4 works really well. It still hogs a boocoo amount of system resources and causes BT issues. I ran it today with SPB 4, and had to reset 5 times. I don't blame the kitchen. I think it's PP. I may try it with 3 tomorrow and see. Bummer, I love the smart scroll. Other than that and the obvious posted like the camera and notes button issues thing this kitchen has been a treat gentlemen, I offer a toast to the "Chefs"

Nick,
The ExtRom unlocker is included in the first or second grouping of BuildOS. And yes, the extended rom needs to be unlocked - the mounthidden registry tweak alone does not make it available for writing. That was one of the causes of my second flash yesterday.

Overall a great kitchen experience - 3.5 on Steroids!. (BTW- any other comments on power usage? From what I can tell after about 16 hrs, my custom rom is no more power hungry than my 3.5, maybe even uses a little less power.)
FamilyDog, could you please identify teh registry tweak for the extended rom, I have unlocked it but it is still not showing in the file explorer or resco.

It actually skipped worse with TCPMP than it did with Windows Media Player, go figure. Anyway, I'm working fine with my workaround of building the rom without SDHC support and just installing the cab after first boot. But I look forward to seeing a fix integrated some day. Thanks !!! Bob.

I have seen the calendar+ program pause on occasion (but never slow down activesync or the PPC), but since it's not being developed anymore that I know of it is just WM5 certified so who knows...I'll keep watching it.
Got one o' those myself. It's because of the contacts. Lost my contacts, and restored fom archives and yahoo. wound up with a database of literally everything at least duplicated and some 3 and 4 dupes. I went from 214 to 475. connected to activesync and imported all those contacts.Opened contacts, and about 5 minutes later they came up. Performance tanked. I spent 3 hours running down the list and removing dupes and junk accounts. Overall performance has steadily improved after pruning down to the 240 range and I'm planning on getting it down to a couple hundred at most. I flashed the exact same ROM on to my test bed Apache (thanks to the save selections)and did not sync contacts. I installed all the same programs including PP 4. it runs circles around my contacts overloaded Apache. A bloated contacts file has negative effects, period. Add to that resource hogging apps, and it just seems to bog down.

This is also related to the effects of Pocket Plus 4 and the 6 tab HTC Today plugin that I posted earlier.

This is purely speculative and correct me if I'm wrong anyone, but I actually feel that there's a difference even ever so slight when you come to flash with the storage card removed. I think you will not find the same issues if you try it. Again, I could be totally wrong, but that's what i've noticed in the past.

If you get the duplicate contacts again - Anti Dupe, free after a quick registration. Works for contact/calendar/tasks.

If I try to save a set of selections, the BuildOS application crashes and gives me a zero-length Apache_Helmi_WM6_Selections.txt and if I save as a different file name both *Selections.txt files are zero length. Running BuildOS again results in a crash. I have to reextract the self-extracting kitchen rar to replace the damaged files. Anyone have any luck saving settings to a text file with WinXP home?

Bugs:

Still absent "mms video" profile on htc camera (fix this Plz!!!!! so that i can put any mms 4.x.x.x app and it can access video directly from htc camera)

no matter if flashing rom is successful always got a Error downloading rom box

Allthough choose a standard id and movistar_venezuela.prj always get a country id error

Addressed memory apps is a lie so that when rom is almost full always get a scrambled bootlogo and get stucked there sometimes

And please, for God's sake!! specify the trial/shareware apps!!!!!!!! (i just played galaga and bum!! dont lose life but all game is lost due to registry form)

When i specify the timezone, the automatic getting time displays hour incorrectly, only just after next softboot it fixes (not syncronizing manually)
