I'm getting the "Unknown Carrier Type" error when I open BuildOS. And then when I try to flash I get a FAT16 filesize error (and yes I am SURE I am using the correct folder for the prj). I am a Verizon user. I tried to save Verizon as my carrier and reopen BuildOS, but still get the same error.

Any ideas?

Are you picking your carrier at the top as well as on the list? There is now two locations you have to pick your carrier. Try that, and post your results.

Unknown carrier type error is because you did not pick your carrier in the carrier drop down on the tool bar. This should be done in addition to the carrier selection in the OEM list (which you should also pick).

The FAT16 filesize error is from running an old version of HTC64_Encoder. If you pick your carrier in the toolbar dropdown, this will be irrelevant.

Unlrelated to this issue, everyone should _always_ hard reset after flashing. I added that message because of the large number of people who were not doing this. I'll be expanding the messages in future releases in an attempt to alleviate confusion between the instructions in the RUU tool and what you _should_ be doing.

Note that if you save your kitchen selections to a file other than the default file called Apache_Helmi_WM6 Selections.txt, when you restart PPC-BuildOS from the desktop icon, you will continue to get that error. The reason is that the default Helmi selections doesn't have a carrier selection and the desktop shortcut always starts up telling PPC-BuildOS to load that selections file.

I save my selections to my own file and then just edited the desktop icon shortcut to replace the parameter pointing to the helmi file with my own file. That way I don't have to keep opening my file from the menu.

Of course, if you just save your selections in the default helmi file after you've done a carrier selection, you shouldn't be getting this error.

The carrier error doesn't seem to be a problem from what I can tell, but no matter how small I make the rom I am still getting the FAT16 filesize error. Any ideas?
