What other video players did you install on your phone? I am wondering if this is a video conflict. Try transferring a video to your phone and see if it will play in windows media player. I would test any player you have on your phone. By the way that sounds like every mans wife so don't sweat it. We have some geniuses here (not me lol) that will fix your problem.

Server Name: Verizon Wireless Gate way: Do not enter anything here Port Number: 80 Server Address: http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms Connect via: The Internet (yours may be different, try different ones the problem could be here) Size Limit: 878k WAP: WAP 2.0 Again these are my settings. The server name, port number and server address have to be listed as above but your other settings could possibly be different from mine. These were the default settings when I made my ROM. Iam using 071107 2 I believe. |

Tearing up a little....
OMG - This is the best thing since sliced bread - Helmi and Crew - you have given me a great gift, the ability to make my own "custom" ROM any and every time...
Thanks for all the hard work - |

Everything checks out ... everything same as your settings.
Sending pics works ok, but videos seem to be there but just show a white screen as the video plays ... the bard moves across the bottom of the screen. There doesn't seem to be any sound. I've done some more testing. I'm pretty sure it's the MMS app. From the MMS app player I can click "Menu" and then "Objects". Once I'm there I can tap and hold on the MMS file and choose "Save". That will place it in the "My Videos" folder inside "My Documents" in main memory. There it has a Windows Media Player icon instead of the MMS app one (which looks like a mountain in a frame of film). Once it's in the "My Videos" directory, and has the Media Player icon, I can click it and it plays fine and has sound. Don't tell me I'm gonna have to do this everytime I get a Video MMS? HELP! Well, barring some great core update or a major fix for something I haven't even discovered is broken yet... I think I'll be keeping this build on my phone for a while. This is absolutely the fastest & most stable OS I've had on this device.
BT works great. WiFi works flawlessly. (For reasons not related to this ROM, I've had to skip using WPA, but I bet it would work.) It ALL works. Thanks again to Helmi_c et al for all their work on this. Especially to luv2chill for turning me towards Spb PhoneSuite. I tried using some of the ROM's profiling and phone programs, but none were as well done as PhS. I didn't get to try PhoneBoost, but maybe some day.

This is a very great tool, I love all the toys, and everything is speedy and efficient. I'm having one problem though, the first couple times I blew out my xv6700 wih this I was able to use the HTC Audio manager from the main screen(completely awesome) but the last few times I'm only able to access it from the programs list, and if I go in manually, what I'm playing does not reflect on the today screen. Also when I click Launch Music Player, it opens WMP.
I've finally got the perfect list of programs I want, I've tried removing and adding diffrent things and cant find the conflict, Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if theres any particular information that would help diagnose this. Thanks |

MMS on Verizon
Quote:
ftp://ppcgeeks:ezupload@up.ppcgeeks....S_3_0_6_24.rar I don't know who made this oem. I just went in and changed the wording on the description in the option.xml. For the new kitchen, I went into "PPCGeeks_OEM.rar" and removed the "Arcsoft MMS 3.0.26.11c" folder. I added "Optional_MMS_3_0_6_24" OEM to the user_oem folder and selected it in the buildos. Works perfectly. Maybe someone else can figure out why, I couldn't. I did try using the mms included in WM6, and no luck sending/viewing MMS.
