UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE...........
This is for the people who either have, or got rid of their GOPASS GPT models..I have a no longer in production BlueTooth GPS receiver model # GPT-600, and could never get a successful "pairing" if you will..... -All of that has changed my friends ![]() ![]() ![]() -I have tried tomtom6, Google maps but NEVER, ever thought that by using Microsoft's Live search I would stumbe upon my solution.... By using Live search the first time I thought for schitts and giggles I would turn on the GPS receiver..Sure it didn't work but then I saw it Something called Intermediary Driver or something like that as an option for the GPS when I clicked directions....I selected it and BAM!!!! Instant pairing and I didn't have to do anything at all, no passkey, nothin.... Just wanted to let you all know, some I guess you knew all along but never have I read anything as far as a solution until this just happened....I hope this helps someone out there.... -I am sure there is this driver somewhere for download but I had no idea how to enable it until now......Not bad for my "outdated Rom" Version 3.3 haha. My question to anyone out there is IF anyone has had the same version as me (3.3) and has upgraded from 3.5 please let me know if it was a better choice......My Bootloader is V1.00 On another token I just bought my dad an XV6700!! WooHoo!!! He has Version 2,02 and WM5 with the preloaded 2.07 ROM from 2006.... What do you think...Should I do the upgrade to both?? -------------------------------------------------------- -Also, PLease forgive my literal interpretations of GA.Medic's tutorial of cooking Rom for the Helmi's Apache Kitchen but.....I don't get a few parts.... Is the install done on your computer, then Active sync takes care of the PPC end? |

Thanks a ton for that! That really alleviates my fears of doing this. Hey, it was kind of unclear, what does this "Live" service do? Do I need a data plan, or it can it be run off of wifi(the only option for me now!)

The stock load stinks. Bloated and buggy come to mind. Most everyone here was on 3.5 before WM6. WM6 is better. A little bigger, but better.
Office is in the list of OEMs in the kitchen. The helmi ROMs are outdated - use the kitchen to make something current. The only problems I have heard with outlook syncing are common to all phones. The contacts list is shared with all contact programs, so your outlook contacts will be visible in all contact apps. If you don't want to do the tape over SD slot thing (great idea), be sure to install NotifyMe (it plays a wav file when the SD card pops out) The HTC home plugin is a today screen plugin (it's not a replacement). Get the Home Customizer if you want to customize it. Yes, the kitchen is installed on your PC.

My search for PNG turned up nothing so if I can ask
I made some splash screen graphisc for my kitchen.......240x320 png files, 256 colors. Do I need to know anything else?
Also, the "main splash" field is set to default, which is no graphic. Where in the bootup process would the main splash graphic display, and if I try to select from those available, which are all 240x320, it tells me I need a 320 square graphic......?? Main splash is the WM6 splash screen (the one just before the calibration or today screen comes up). Boot splashes (the one you see at power on/reset) are 240x320, because they always display in portrait. The main splash is 320x320, clipped to a portrait or landscape viewport depending on which mode the phone is in. If you use a smaller image for either splash, you'll have black strips where the missing pixels are. If you use a larger than necessary picture, the picture will be clipped (potentially wasting ROM space for main splash pics, but not for boot splash pics)
BTW, <Default> doesn't mean no graphic...it means to use the graphic pre-baked into the kitchen (which may be blank) Last edited by gguruusa; 01-17-2008 at 08:36 PM. |

ok so the main one is the green/blue Windows Mobile graphic then. I can ace that and "bake in" one of the 240x320 ones that are available then?
I'm <> this close to cooking up my 3rd ROM.........this time with my OEM cooked in. A scant month ago I didn't have a cloooooooo............. |

Hey on a quick side note, I was wondering if there was a tool to resize .pngs or .jpgs to the correct 240x320 resolution? Inspired by the the Windows Xp Black Edition that's out there, I made a special bootscreen, but I did something wrong, I don't have the source file, and I don't know why I can't resize the .png with The GIMP. It keeps saying the resolution is 240x319, which is really irritating. I've tried scaling it, but teh document properties keep telling me that it is 240x320. It came out really nice, and I am perfectly happy with anyone using it, as long as someone can correctly resize it and re-up it here? It would be much appreciated.
The below image should be in .png format. If you can make it work, enjoy! ![]() EDIT: I do have the original .jpg if that helps anyone |

Hi, I recently had my laptop stolen. I have managed to sync everything except the email that were on my Apache. For some reason activsync and Vista's version won't recognise and sync them across to Outlook? Anyone have any other ideas? Is there a program that I can export my emails from my Apache and then import them into Outlook?
Thanks |
