There's a changes.txt in the first post.

You can add your own later...don't know why you had trouble. What were you changing from and to?

Just like everyone else on this thread is saying, this upgrade is fantastic!!!! It saved my XV6700 a high velocity date with a brick wall... My one noob question is, can anyone tell me what today setup is being used on the very first screen shot in this thread? I love the top bit with digital clock and messaging status.

THANK YOU! To everyone!

This is great now my xv-6700 is fast! This kitchen is great, glad there are people smart enough to make this because we all know verizon isn't. I so far have made 3 differnt rom's and it just keeps getting better.
One question what is the difference between the OEM I downloaded last week and the new one posted above?
I did notice that the pocketCM in the kitchen was different from the one I had already (light colored background, mine is dark) I also found out that if you choose a dialer skin in the kitchen then you cant add your own later!
I am having fun with this, Thank you again!

BTW any one have a spare room? My wife said that if I keep messing with my phone she will throw me out!

Man am I gonna miss her!
Look at the Rev4 changelog in the post. All difference between versions are there. If you downloaded last week, you most likey have Rev3 of the OEM package.

Which dialer skin are you choosing and what are you trying to add?

I believe that's the default settings if you use the recommended checked items in the selections.txt.

"Windows Default" today theme.
HTC Home Plugin (with the tabs and big clock)
Live Search
Tasks
Calendar

You'll just need to check HTC Home Plugin under Today Plugins.

Is there any way to extract individual cab's from the rom, such as microsoft voice command or total commander? Particularly I'm looking for Microsoft Voice Command. I looked through the files included but did not find anything. Thanks.

No. Cab files are not in the ROM. As a general statement, it is not feasible to rebuild a cab from the ROM.

Why would you want it as a .cab anyway? Voice Command is a perfect example of something that should be baked in.

Yes, I believe it should be, however my boss has a 6800, which does not have Microsoft Voice Command, or a couple of the other features you can obtain via the kitchen, and without a kitchen for the 6800 as of yet, he wanted to grab the rom from the kitchen, or some way without flashing the phone.

On another note, since this thread gets a bit more visability than my other thread, since flashing the kitchen from the origional rom helmi_c posted a ways back, I had to install wireless sync manually. After doing so, if i perform an active sync, wireless sync will cease to function. I've flashed several times, and every time after I install wireless sync and then perform an active sync, weather it be the first time i active sync or having done it already, wireless sync will not function. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. I've also tried to perform a wireless sync manually by clicking on the sync button when you click on the icon on the today screen, or at the wireless sync menu. It has failed every time, only after I've performed an active sync after I've installed wireless sync. I'm about to roll back and install the origional rom that was the initial release, but I really like the features and function of the kitchen, and would prefer to be able to use the kitchen flash.

Thanks again for all the work you guys have been done.

These might be stupid questions but since I can't find the anwers . . . (1) If I include a program like Resco File Explorer in my cooked ROM and it's version 6.16 from the OEM package, but the most current version is 6.17 (and I have that registered version installed now), if I upgrade after flashing, aren't I then just wasting putting it in the ROM since the update will eat memory when I install? I hope that made sense. (2) To otherwise use version 6.17 in a cooked ROM, wouldn't I need to use the $100 registered version of the trial program included with the Kitchen? (I can't remember it's name). Thanks in advance!!

The obvious solution is to buy Voice Command

Sorry, he's going to have to wait for a kitchen (there are a couple of 6800 kitchen's out there - they're not as friendly as the Apache kitchen, but as soon as a stable ROM is available we'll release an official PPCGeeks kitchen).

I can't imagine what your problem is with wireless sync, given that it worked fine w/ activesync on original Helmi ROM. The most likely cause I can come up with is that it doesn't work w/ WM5 AKU 3.5 or later (file format changed), but that would invalidate the original Helmi ROM too. I did note that you let the customizations run w/ the original ROM, so it's possible that some other carrier app installation is responsible for it working. Try manually installing the extrom cabs in the order they autorun, and see if it works for you. Letting the extrom cabs run is a terrible thing to do since they're designed for a different version of WM - so I suggest a hard reset afterwords.

1) Yes.

2) No. You just need an OEM of 6.17.
