Nope. It's a stock Sprint phone. No connection error. Same was true for my titan.

Anyway, doesn't matter either way, it's still a TOS violation even if I do a regedit to change the connection name from one thing to another (still, hardly call that a "hack" it's just changing the name. It's still just dialing "PPP")

Anyone who knows how this stuff actually works knows its something sprint (or your carrier) controls - they can turn it off on their end and all the "tweaking" in the world would not get you around it.

The fact that they don't doesn't make it "legal" but it does make it "tolerated".

its probably more like denying them the right to charge per device for using their service. Kind of licensing a device to be on their service as they dont sell the computers. Or it may be due to them only taking the liability for what they sell.

Accessing the Internet using the phone is the service I'm paying for. Whether I attach something else on my phone to use its connection or not is none of my carrier's business.

that's not entirely accurate. you only pay to have the internet on your phone, not for tethering to a laptop. and it is their business. you should probably check your use agreement with your carrier.

fresh off the phone with sprint customer service... there is the 150 plan with PAM... and i asked if that plan didnt exisit could i have AE and add on PAM, and yes no problem, only if i have a compatible phone though.. i had em total it out for fun, so tha lady could how AE with add on is 139.99 and the new AE included with PAM is more at 150.. she didnt really have an answer for that one lol

I didn't even do the ICS hack on my Mogul. There was never a PAM entry in my phone and my wmwifirouter worked fine and sprint never said anything about it.

the point was that i never applied anything of that sort to my mogul and my wmwifirouter ran perfectly fine. Does that mean Sprint loaded a ROM onto my phone that automatically was considered running 'warez'

can't do it from this site because they were warned. they weren't warned about tethering yet..
