Re: Random Hard Resets on Custom ROMs (SEE IMAGE)

mine rebooted for the first time earlier in the day. Had the 12/19 MightROM installed for about4 days now. All settings seem intact though, nothing was removed.

Re: Random Hard Resets on Custom ROMs (SEE IMAGE)

Not getting the message but it happend to me twice in the last two days. Was running Cfay for a couple months with no problems flashed over to MalROM and BOOM phone hard resetting for no apparent reason. Thought was a failed storage card that caused this until i saw this thread now it seems the hardresets may have failed my storage card. Only thing that i did differently this time was try out Sashimi to load up my cabs. Is everyone else maybe using sashimi????

Re: Random Hard Resets on Custom ROMs (SEE IMAGE)

Yours bricked? I'm just now starting to see this issue and am wondering what to do. I initially saw it running the MM WAR release. I figured it was a MM issue but now I've seen it happen a few times on MalROM. Like others, I do not see any message like in post 1, I just start losing settings. Usually my Exchange connection gets messed up first. Email and contacts dissapear wich seems to really mess up other things. Eventually I can't even pull up the phone dialer.

The next time this happens I'll try going back to stock, relocking, unlocking and flashing again. However, I don't have an extended warrenty so now I'm freaking out about a possible brick...

No matter what I do, it will eventually freeze, requiring a soft reset, from which it will not reboot, requiring another poke with the stick, which turns into a hard reset, sort of. Sometimes it will be a complete reset, sometimes some apps and settings will remain.

I just gotta say, to me its seems related to Mighty's ROMs.
Okay so after flashing War and getting the problem, then flashing MightyROM, JuicyR5-R6, Calk's kitchen built ROM's and a few others, the problem remained, even though I never had it before on these other ROM's. I flashed stock ROM, and flashed back to the Calk's kitchen ROM, and all is well, so I tried JuicyR5 again and its fine too. I didn't have to relock-unlock again, but I am a little nervous to try War again to see if I can duplicate the issue, I will try when I get some time.

Re: Random Hard Resets on Custom ROMs (SEE IMAGE)

I woke up with my phone unresponsive today and after a soft reset wound up with this. Second time I had to reflash Malrom after leaving MR on my Sprint TP2. Hope this works.

Re: Random Hard Resets on Custom ROMs (SEE IMAGE)

I've been flashing ROM's on my TP2 since the HSPL...and had NOT have this issue til a couple of days ago. I've been cooking ROM's from Cal's kitchen recently...and mine happened without the message PLUS it happened when I tried to soft reset after the phone went unresponsive.

I reflashed to stock last night before flashing custom again. Every thing seems normal now...will report if there is any changes.

Re: Random Hard Resets on Custom ROMs (SEE IMAGE)

Had it happen twice this week on the stock Verizon ROM but without the screen. Woke up to find t frozen and pulled the battery and it went through initialization for "first time user".

Tried the relocker but I click and it does absolutely nothing..

Re: Random Hard Resets on Custom ROMs (SEE IMAGE)

i think I have the 1/13 MIGHTY ROM and would like to know if that one is one of the ones with the issue.. I ask because the phone froze and then stuck at the TOUCH PRO 2 screen.. Took the battery out and waited for a while.. then booted back up with XML error.. took battery out... put it back in and I was at the screen for first time use and it has erase everything in the internal memory... I didnt see any error like the picture and nothng saying I was doing a hard reset.. after it reset itself I did another hard reset and reinstalled much of the stuff I used but not the junk I had installed that didnt work and didnt uninstall 100% correct.. maybe one of those caused the issue....

Thanks...
