Re: Random Hard Resets on Custom ROMs (SEE IMAGE)

I've had it happen twice now. It doesn't do a complete hard reset. All of my programs are still intact but their registry data (settings, registration, ect) are all missing. Also all my Manila mods are gone. Seems to only "reset" the basic ROM data. Quite odd. I will try the "fix" if it happens again.

Re: Random Hard Resets on Custom ROMs (SEE IMAGE)

I saw this happen after being on Mighty Mikes release rom (when the HSPL first came out) and what fixed it for me I found was taking out the MicroSD card.. Then it booted right up. (it did happen again where it did not fix the problem but a reboot with it in, then out, fixed it up again..) now I have a whole new pile of issues with his latest one that nobody elsse seams to have. My Phone just feels like deleting parts of itself randomly during a soft reset.. Lovely.

Re: Random Hard Resets on Custom ROMs (SEE IMAGE)

i would still try the fix. when i had my phone turned on and i knew the hard reset was coming. some settings would reset. my background reset, somebody said that the programs tab would reset, another person mentioned that there emails disappeared, my contacts disappreared, i couldnt even access my contacts after i knew it was coming. did my fix and every since then its been working fine. i have one problem but thats for in another thread.

Re: Random Hard Resets on Custom ROMs (SEE IMAGE)

Happened to me on Mighty's ROM a couple of weeks ago about 3 times then I flashed back to Sprint Stock. I saw that screen on the first page too. I haven't tried the latest Mighty ROM 11.25.09 yet though.

Re: Random Hard Resets on Custom ROMs (SEE IMAGE)

Started happening to me on 12/07, after I flashed MR 12/06.

I don't get any kind of screen though.

It has happened twice now, both times I was trying to open Opera. Opera started to open, than closed itself. When I tried to re-open it, nothing would happen. I would tell the phone to shut down, upon turning it back on it would be real slow and then the mighty rom install screen comes on and it does a hard reset.

Going to flash back to stock, lock and unlock again.

Re: Random Hard Resets on Custom ROMs (SEE IMAGE)

I've seen this screen with the stock rom (I hadn't done *any* modifications). It seemed to occur from time to time after my corporate security policies were pushed onto the phone, and I had some unsigned apps installed. It would happen completely at random, apparently, and would not actually hard reset my device and would boot normally if I just hit the red hang-up button. *shrug*
