i agree with rawdi, i recommend reading up on cooking and go from there. teh duplicates mean nothing persay. if it errors out then there is a problem key word is ERROR. if you dont see that word, then your good son... Good luck |

Cooking takes a LOT of trial and error.

Thanks guys, but now there is ANOTHER problem! I deleted the kitchen and re-extracted it and put the 23559 manila files in there ONLY! I didn't make any changes, just wanted to see if it would finish and now it says "Retrieve ROMHdr value into xip\ folder..." and "Check & Delete Timebomb on ROM if exists (old & new way...)
SYS\23559\SHARED\COMMON\Shell\shell32.exe\S000 doesn't need Timebomb Fix!!!"........, what the hell does this mean?!?!?!?! Is it a simple fix or something more advance?!

you might want to take baby steps. If you can't get the kitchen to build with your sys modifications, try it out stock and get a feel for what messges are normal to pop up, and how long on average it takes from each stage of the compiling process, hope this helps, good luck

like i said before... if it doesnt say the key word ERROR then your good man... it takes time to cook. it will eventually move forward. you will see alot of stuff that you are not familiar with since your a new chef so just let it run...

I guess I'll try it with the stock 6.5 rom from sprint because the last message that popped up was the one about the timebomb and its been sitting there for like an hour now!

Agreeing I still suck? j/k... LOL Yeah man... Ive been doing this since last year, and STILL havent made a rom im totally happy with. I am STILL making HUGE mistakes and having to start from scratch... but hey, thats the way the games goes. RADAR: First and foremost... Download Icey's updated Kitchen. Once you do that... DONT ADD ANYTHING TO IT. Familiarize yourself with the structure. Open up the EXT's and see how they are put together. Compare them to cabs you may have. Build a ROM from within the kitchen. Dont add or take away anything. Just... get a feel for the way it works. "Make False" a few packages here and there. Maybe add a package or 2. Flash 6+ roms before you start adding and taking out packages. Try 6.5, Com 3, Com5.. Whatever. Go slow... and soon enough you'll be messing with the sys packages and everything. Just take it one step at a time. We cant completely hold your hand through the whole process, but we are all here to help each other. Shiiii... I still need help DAILY...
