I'm using smartlock (the one included in the kitchen... the newer version seems to have some bugs) and it works fine.

I'm using 2.5 sense. I like the extra functionality of 2.5, esp after adding maxmanila ...and the latest 2.5 builds seem to be more stable.

But I suggest you try it out, esp the differences between 2.1 and 2.5. It's a kitchen, so the whole idea is that you can try out different configurations.

try em both and see which works out best for you.

yeah both 2.1 and 2.5 are more stable than those vga ports.
HTC messaging in 2.5 is getting better and better but still not up to par with Poutlook as far as speed.

Not sure if this is the "best" way of doing this but here is what I have done to get it to work the way you are describing. Go to the settings tab and select the menu and All Settings option. Then go into Sounds & Notifications (the windows ones). Here you can change the "Flash Light For" option to a something less than No Limit. The only thing that doesnt work is changing the notification sound from this screen, so then go back to the Manila Sound and Display menu to select whatever sound you want associated with the event. Hope that helps ....

I really don't think 2.5.1922 is as stable as the older builds at all. I won't use it till the packages are out of the testing phase.

Verizon provisioning parts of the 1.4 Kitchen are fubar!!! International dialing issue... and NO DATA CONNECT possible with the proxml files... the radio buttons on dialog boxes in phone settings have text Radio1, Radio2... etc...

Had to re-authenticate my phone with a call to Verizon after going back to MR1...

I am going to try to use the 1.3 provisioning packages in 1.4...

portrait is about as stable as the older releases but landscape is still pretty iffy.

But its all in how you use the phone, the only time i use the HWKB is in poutlook for email so i never see the bugginess of landscape manilla.

I use the wm Lockscreen...and it works just fine. emails, texts show up as different sliders (no previews) calendar events show just like it should. I have not gone back to s2u2 since using the dusk version of the lock screen (the slider is at the bottom of the screen vice the top like the default)

I personally like 2.5 love the quick links...I'm running 6.5.3 so along with the big buttons...the sylus RARELY make an apperance anymore.

Honestly my only real issue with 1922 is how slow it is. For example sliding through tabs is awful. I'm pretty sure when the next round of packages come out it will be quicker like the old builds. Also I wish we could just delete all files related to the Documents tab too. NRGZ28's cab to disable it is good but I just wish I could completely get rid of it. Manila 2.5.1920 I would compare its speed to Manila 2.1.1920, just wish it had full landscape lol.

Does any one know where I could find descriptions of what all these packages are in Calk's kitchen? Some are self explanitory others I'm trying to hunt down.

Does anyone know what this package is for or if I should be including it:

"Applications System - Messaging Client 1.5.1922.2911.00"
