You can do it with a Mort Script just by changing the registry values for the power settings. It would only be a couple of lines of code.

The only cause I can think of is that if you don't have a sim card inserted, your phone won't be able to switch to global mode. Did you try to take the sim card out, then re insert then reset??

The settings importer is a wonderful thing.

It did not however import every setting that was exported using Settings Export, for example Owner information, and some of the Sense UI stuff did not get imported (# of columns, # of screens).

Very cool that it imports the icons for sense, contact quicklinks.

On a separate note:
Is there a way to automatically install cabs to the SD card? I tried creating a folder in XDA_UC called SD and put the cabs in there. When it was rebooting, it would interactively ask me where I wanted to install those cabs.

My only problem with the 22nd ROM is some random freezes while opening up a text message. If I click a message thread to open it, it will take about 2-3 minutes to open the message. Odd.

@rdcrds - I have only had this problem when I switch frequently between external Active Sync vs. Disk Drive mode.

is there a position fix for the dialer, with the latest builds? in the las couple of builds the dialer is moved up about an 8th of an inch, a soft reset usaualy fixes it but it comes back after a while, anyone else seen this???

Another issue. I have experienced a couple BSOD's (Black screen of death's) with the May 22nd ROM. It happens after coming back from a locked screen and when I have emails waiting and notify is turned on or off it still happens.

Anyone else experiencing this? Also some random lock ups occurring.

Also, still no answer to my other question that Outlook email on this ROM is now blocking all attachments (ActiveSync Outlook) including attachments that have extensions that I completely made up....it is removing the files and not allowing them saying they are "unsafe"
