I believe what is slowing down the Roms is MaxManilla. I flashed the 1/20 23518 w/MM and I had problems with it. I reflashed with the same sys w/o MM and my phone runs alot faster. I decided to just use all of the mods made by Santosd as the give me a clean interface but without the weight.

I'm using version 23518/21889 |Jan 20| at the moment.
Problem with sending SMS. The messages stay in Outbox without delivering. Have no problem receiving SMS though. Calling and receiving calls is working fine.

How do I fix this?

I've done nothing other than set your ROM up how I like (today screen etc) and added Coreplayer so far.

I showed my buddy at work (an I-brick user) and all he could say is wow...

MaxManila is that the slider on the bottom?

alright i just need to fix the SMS/MMS on the 23518 on NRGZ, i want to uninstall the HTC messaging and install the ARCSOFT SMS/MMS which comes with the stock rom. it was faster and reliable. any ideas on that? Thanx

Have you noticed any issues receiving texts? Of all the 2.5 Energy ROMs I've tried, I've noticed issues receiving texts in all of them. Most recently I was running the Jan 14 2.5 version, and got comments from 3 different people about sending me texts I never received, so I've flashed back to the latest with 2.1. I don't know if it's the Manilla which is loosing them or what, but I haven't noticed the same issues with 2.1. I'm on VZW.

1. Flash to STOCK
2. Install ROM (23518_20.Jan.2010_StandardM2.5_MaxManila)
3. Wipe Phone
4. Install HTC messaging disable cab (Disable HTC Messaging 1.2.CAB)
5. Soft reset
6. Install latest and greatest Arcsoft (MMS Fix (M2.1) (Sprint).cab)
7. Soft reset
8. Enjoy...Messaging working fine.

It was the only thing I couldn't get working so now I am very happy!!

Yeah I flashed to something else. I love the latest rom 23518 1/20 max manilla.. but the memory issues make the device non-functional. I guess if you dont really do anything with your phone like take pictures, use s2p, browse, and use youtube then it might work ok, but as you start using these apps the memory leaks out of the device onto the floor and then crashes the device or closes the app you want to use.

I would be happy w/o push internet and anything else that would free up more ram on boot, but I can't seem to fix it myself with cabs etc. I know this version is pretty beta and to expect bugs, but non functionality in so many areas is too much.

Keep up the great work NRG you make awesome looking roms. I hope someday M$ gets 6.5.3 worked out it shouldn't be that hard?

You would also think that text messaging is a no brainer but the 2.5 text issues are just incredulous.....
