I agree. I've never flashed more than once, and have never bothered with a hard reset after flash, since a flash is a hard reset. I have however seen the flash fail just before it begins, usually because of some USB issue. The one time that happened it worked immediately the second try.

Having said that, the HTC messaging app is not kicking off a network connection. I did a hard reset & didn't establish any network connection. I immediately tried to send an MMS, and the data arrows did not start, which tells me that the MMS app isn't interfacing with the network at all. Arcsoft has a regkey that called ConnectionVia but I don't see a similar key in Jataayu.
Yes you are in the right place. This is where I was working when I got it to send and say "MMS sent successfully", but without the recipient getting it. There are missing headers, you'll notice the MsgFlags are blank and the PredefinedPort is off, and if you look at the Content-Types headers there is only one listed, for video. I believe there should be a content type for all the possible MMS file types. There is a standard list published with the MMS spec. When I get some time over the holiday hopefully I'll be able to work this out and give you guys a holiday treat.

One question, you said you got logging enabled. I was only able to get logging from the WM app enabled, not the HTC app. (On second read I remembered I didn't soft reset after enabling logging, so that may be the issue.) It helped a bit, but I think the logging in the HTC app will help more, if you got it enabled please share

If it "freezes" when you slide it open it's probably because you hit a key or two on the keyboard in the process of sliding it and it is processing the tasks, give it a few moments and it will resolve itself. The only real knock hardware wise for me is that I so often hit the keyboard trying to slide it.

Ya, have played with some of those settings including Content-Types. Still goofing as I can, so surely sooner or later we will figure something out.

I learned early on when flashing, i think it was a Samsung A900 maybe earlier that sometimes flashes never worked 100%. I would sometimes have to flash 3 times before everything worked like it should. So, these newer phones might only require 1 flash, but i guess I'm ol' skool.

Re: [ROM] [11/23/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R4 (21876) [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]

Just to jump to a fresh issue, does anyone have a mac and has gotten the wifi internet sharing to work with it? I have tried since R3 and have had no success! The mac will not see the htc network for internet and will only connect on a computer to computer network! Is there something I am supposed to be doing under the computer to computer connection or am I missing something else? I dont know how to use it as a usb modem also. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! I can confirm that it does work on a windows laptop and that it is working on a powerbook mac but I cannot get it to work on my G4 powerbook.
