If I type a search query into the search box on the Internet tab it resets TF3d, and Opera is never opened for the search. I can open Opera and search manually however.

Also I can confirm no sound on YouTube...

Typed in a name in the bar without launching anything, got the HTC 'Quietly Brilliant' splash screen and my search results displayed correctly in the Opera.

I thought I had the YouTube no-audio bug as well, but after a few soft resets due to installing and uninstalling other apps, I tried YouTube again and now I get sound. Bizarre.

Thanks guys. Can you confirm whether you've provisioned using a carrier cab? I have not in order to use tethering...

I have a feeling something in provisioning fixes that, but breaks ICS. I took a look inside the carrier cab last night but didn't go too deep, hopefully Juicy can take a look tonight...

Is there an easier alternative to soft reset other than opening the battery cover all the time?

Hold the power button (or end key, depending on provisioning), and when it asks to power off press yes. Then just power back on...

Re: [ROM] Juicy Rhodium_W R2 [SENSE UI][XDA_UC]

on sprint, since unlocker flashed r1 then r2 den sprint onboot den hardreset.
i confirm the sliding kb sounds dont work as well as in the settings picking a sound all come back as beep beep no matter what you pick

i did have an issue w/ open up all messages click conversation then hit back 1 time then 2 time and the phone pad popped up, but i cant remember if that was the 'exact' process i did cuz i cant duplicate it, all gud 4 now

youtube doesnt play sound 4 me either but i do see the volume slider just no sound

but honestly great rom... movin' on up... movin' on up (i dunno wat that was) but yea since i flashed your 2.5 i cant go back to plain jane 2.1 even if its the newer version w/ weather. i luv the idea of quick links on the homepage so damn purdy

I hear you :)

Here is the solution that works for me; maybe it will work for you as well. I never see the HTC message app. I created a shortcut that takes me directly to the WM SMS/MMS messaging application (arcsoft) on the home screen. I only left the message counter at the bottom to see if I have any new messages. I never use that button though. Here is what I am talking about:

http://i36.tinypic.com/2akebn.gif

So if a new message comes in, I see it on the counter and I click my shortcut on the home screen (SMS MMS) which takes me directly into SMS/MMS. I am attaching the shortcut in the zip below. Just unzip it into your "windows\Start Menu\Programs" folder and you will be able to select it from a list of programs for one of the home page buttons.

Hope this helps.

Cheers.

I ran it on the default ppool (15 I believe) all day. Just now I bumped it to 32 and reflashed. So far I can't say I see any difference.

Re: [ROM] Juicy Rhodium_W R2 [SENSE UI][XDA_UC]

ok, gotta say I like your rom

Verizon user - Do we need to install KB fixes and provisioning? Which ones should I get, there seems to be different ones for each rom now.

For me its between NRGZ Leo and Juicy. I have tried Mighty and some others but I really like the manila 2.5

I am on verizon and I had to install keyboard fixes, verizon provision cab and other items, anything I need to do with this one? I searched and did not see anything listed in particular and it wasn't on the first page that I could see.

I assume the only thing major is the MMS that everyone else has right?

So far in my limited testing

GPS works
Animated wallpapers work
youtube videos work from opera with sound
"other" settings work
Opera 9.7 to me is better than 9.5
htc internet sharing worked for me, but only gave me the option of cdma1x??

I really like the green highlights, I think NFS use to do this also and to me its the best. At first I thought they should be carried over to the calendar and keyboard also but I think that would mess up the look of custom backgrounds and think how you have it is better

To me I think NRGZ is a little faster though in scrolling through tabs and dialing. I sense a little hesitation on this rom.

Keep up the great work and I will be popping back and forth

Re: [ROM] Juicy Rhodium_W R2 [SENSE UI][XDA_UC]

Ok nvm, should have just flashed the rom to see that it is included in the process, bravo Juicy!

I still am wondering though, does the carrier cab include ALL the various carrier specific things you need to do for these ROMS (GPS reg fix, keyboard fix, etc?)

On the first bootup after you flash it will ask which carrier you use and apply the appropriate provisioning.

Hey Juicy - I noticed that QuickGPS still isn't functioning, same as the PRL update and Data Profile. I am on Sprint and installed the carrier cab. Anyone else having this issue with sprint? Any suggestions?

EDIT: Removed Showaco4ColumnStartMenu.cab. Apologies as this was a throw back to my TP1 6.5 days, and I guess this cab does not work on the TP2 and/or this ROM. Sorry for any wasted time.

Re: [ROM] Juicy Rhodium_W R2 [SENSE UI][XDA_UC]

Ok, guys, I don't know what to tell you on troubleshooting it, but I installed the Sprint Provisioning when I flashed, or it asked, and installed for me. I have tested Update Profile, it comes back says no update available or needed whatever. Update PRL says it updated and restarted the radio, if it doesn't restart the radio just go into the connection manager and bounce the phone. QuickGPS updated on its own, but I tested again just now, works fine. Updates and then goes back to the home screen.

So not saying it isn't working for ya, but just like in the TP1 days, if things don't work, first try soft reset, next try hard reset then if that don't work, reflash, if that don't work might try downloading the rom again maybe you got a corrupted one. The rules unfortunately in rom flashing haven't changed. Just gotta keep trying. If it was an everyone having the same issue then obviously there is a problem, but for just a few here and there, then I would tend to say it is an issue with the settings of your phone. Maybe go into the phone settings make sure GPS is turned on etc. That used to be the fix on the old TP1.

Sorry you are having issues, I know it can be frustrating. But it isn't Juicy's fault that I am aware of unless maybe he has done something intentionally to make it not work on phones here and there but work on others heh.

Good luck, do report back any findings. We do need a FAQ or something.

I didn't get a response from anyone, but it has to do with the Settings | Location option. Turn that off and that message disappears. Turning it off does not appear to impact GPS, and it is not the same as the location setting in the phone options area. That one does turn GPS on or off.

Also wanted to note I tested Youtube just now, audio seems fine, and tested face down speakerphone, works fine. So not quite sure what might be causing those issues for you guys. And also not sure it is still an issue, but bluetooth seems to be pairing just fine, and used it on a conference call today. MMS of course is a no go without going back to WM MMS. But normal texts seem fine, and all shortcuts in the htc settings seem to work now as well.

heck I can't even get data with Verizon. I did the install and chose Verizon on the startup for provisioning. Did *228, 1 and can make calls and stuff. Did a hard reset, battery pull and it just shows there is nothing set up for data. I also pulled the mighty rom vzw carrier cab and nothing.
