I may have to go back to EnergyROM. Something isn't right between my device and JuicyROM.

Hmm that is truly odd. I plug it in, press ICS, and it opens and connects without issues. With the carrier cab it hangs on "waiting for network". If it doesn't work for you immediately after flashing with no alterations and no carrier cab then there is def something weird going on..

LOL got used to it while using the stock ROM. Yeah I have the cab but on some ROMS, even using the cab or editing the registry to hide the programs tab and use the HTC start menu still doesn't work

Very nice rom.... but memory wise... with nothing running it settles down to about 30 megs left...

It must be a profile provisioning thing. I get the same results in other ROMs now....<sigh>.

Interesting. Flash back to stock, update your profile and PRL, then flash back to R2 and try again...

I think I remember reading that someone did try it and it works with R1.

I loved the HTC start compared to the 6.1 start menu, but 6.5 is just as useful, maybe smoother/more colorful, and I can see all my options and groups without having to click "show all". Give it a try, maybe it'll grow on you, and sooner or later those HTC start menu's won't work...

Quick question, tried searching but haven't really seen the answer, anyway...
Would installing the atomang enhanced d3d drivers or neos2007_driverpack be a good thing here, or is Juicy incorporating some other form of video drivers?

In R1 they may have helped (I installed them but didn't see a huge improvement), but Juicy incorporated changes in R2 that have really improved weather animations. Still some dropped frames in the animation, but we don't have a snapdragon in the TP2 :-/

Re: [ROM] Juicy Rhodium_W R2 [SENSE UI][XDA_UC]

Some thoughts on memory usage and GPS with this ROM:

Memory usage has not been a problem. These phones use up memory to cache, just like Windows Vista and 7. Only worry about memory if its not cleared from the cache and your programs get out of memory errors (which I have not seen).

As far as the GPS and My Location, I used it in Boston and it has been able to tell me when I cross the Charles River from Boston to Cambridge very reliably. Today riding the subway to work I had my phone on and saw a surprise. In Boston there is a small neighborhood called Beacon Hill in downtown. The subway runs under it.

As I was passing under the weather changed from Boston, to Beacon Hill, and then eventually to Cambridge as I crossed the river. So not only is it accurate, it knows not just cities and towns, but also neighborhoods. Good on ya, Google!

R1 was a pretty good ROM but R2 is mind boggling better! Nice work Juicy! Now if someone could get HTC MMS working but in the meantime I will keep it disabled and go back to old school MMS/SMS. Thanks Juicy!

1. the installed Youtube application doesnt have sound (probably can be fixed with another youtube installation)

I'm having this issue as well with YouTube. It was working fine with R1.

Other than that, R2 is freakin awesome!!:headbang:

Maybe a Sprint issue??? I haven't had a single lag like I did with R1. R2 has been very responsive all day so far. My last soft reset was this morning after installing an app.

With all due respect, my friend, I call BS :)

Unless somene else can confirm that auto-speaker phone works without tweaks on R2 (assuming provisionning was done as well) then I will stand corrected.

EDIT: Confirmed below. My apologies. Cheers.

i will do one more hard reset and test a little longer but i doubt it's a "sprint" issue.

It does work without any tweaks and i let the provisions for sprint run. Not sure why it doesn't work for you

I think it would help if you describe the usage a bit as well as what you have loaded. I ran it since last night with no lag. Here is what I used mine for so far:

- about 10 or so phone calls (some with BT some not)
- Email sync with Exchange server all day
- Personal email accounts sync every 10 minutes
- about 10 or so texts
- some light web browsing
- watched Slingplayer for about an hour or so

It did not seem to slow down at all. I did have to soft-reset it once because I installed a cab that required reset.

What I installed on it:

- Apristel Faster End Call mod
- Pocket shield with rotation fix
- Arcsoft MMS
- Groovefish
- Briggs Audiopara mod
- Core Player
- WunderRadio
- Bing
- TellMe (dont like it, will remove)
- psShutXp
- Skype
- Sling player
- SPB TV
- Sprite Backup
- Zenyee Disable HTC Messaging
- Zenyee Stay Unlock

I turned music on and flipped the phone several times as well as opened the kb. The screen goes black in landscape but album art comes back if I go back to portrait. No slow down or hickups in music though.

I'm still having issues with sound within youtube... the music issue seems to be fine now.. maybe is was just acting up at the time...

Re: [ROM] Juicy Rhodium_W R2 [SENSE UI][XDA_UC]

It's interesting how people report different issues but seem to be opposite for others. I am guessing it all depends on the amount of crap/tweaks we load on these things. Runs pretty smooth here and I am not flashing to anything else for now.

Juicy - as usual, hats off for your fine craftsmanship.

BUG: anyone else please confirm

If I type a search query into the search box on the Internet tab it resets TF3d, and Opera is never opened for the search. I can open Opera and search manually however.

Also I can confirm no sound on YouTube...

Re: [ROM] Juicy Rhodium_W R2 [SENSE UI][XDA_UC]

No youtube issues here, no laggy/freezing issues here. messaging app seems fine for me, though I do occasionally have to hit Back twice to get it to go... (I am on Sprint btw, but that shouldn't matter).

I have a different problem, which I have had on ALL roms that I have flashed, wondering if it's just me or if there is a fix? I haven't found one yet, but here is my issue:

I have my work e-mail set up to come into the phone and occasionally it will not update until I unlock the screen and go to the e-mail app. Then it is like, ohhh new mail, get get, when it is set to come in as it arrives, so what the hell? I will say This ROM is byyyy far the best one yet. Energy was waay buggy and wouldn't even alert me with new SMS or e-mail, Mighty's was decent, but meh I am over 2.1 haha.

Also, does the Alarm work on this one or is that 2.5 issue? Alarm wouldn't everrr go off with Energy's.
