I was unable to find in System the menu that displays the PRL version. it seems it got replaced with the manila style pages and ommited. but we do have easy acess to the EMEI, heh

Update PRL worked fine for me with the exception that you need to flick airplane mode on/off after the PRL is updated. Looks like it just doesn't restart the radio.

I was actually going to just post and ask if anyone knows how to locate the PRL version on this ROM. Wanted to see what my VZW PRL was up to...

Juicy,

if you would like, i can "wm 6.5" the signal bars/data arrows for CDMA (so it will show active/inactive state) and Volume Taskbar Icons if you give me the 2 .DLLs that you use for it. If you want. I did this a while back with my 6.1 ROM (sorry, never shared it with anybody)...let me know...

I am having trouble with my speakerphone - it was working fine with R1 -- but I like R2 allot better. During a call, if I hit speakerphone, I can hear the other person, but they cannot hear me -- there are no error messages and volume levels I've tried from low to high. I am on Verizon -- I flashed using R2 with the Verizon cab from the Provisioning process.

Can someone else try this and let me know if its just me?

Hey everyone,

Just quickly wondering before I flash (and spend another 3 hours configuring), how's the performance in manila (animated weather homescreen, flipping through tabs, typing texts etc) compared to R1?

Would you say it's usuable on a daily basis? R1 was very pretty to look at but really tedious to navigate through and I had to give up on it.

Would you all say twice the performance or slightly better?

I have been runing it since it was posted last night and it is definitely great for daily use so far. However, if you think R1 was too tedious for you then you may still not like it. I can definitely see some improvement in this one and provisioning is a very nice touch. To me, it is pretty fast and looks fantastic. I did not have any issues with it yet.

Juicy, thanks again.

Nah, they're talking about pic/vid messages. It's a manila 2.5 issue. Disable HTC Messaging and revert back to the WM messaging and should be able to send/receive MMS. Check the first post of this thread...

I just tested it and it works fine for me, but I am no Sprint. Stupid question, but you don't have the mute button red, right?

Try this:

Navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\PHONE

Locate a registry entry named FaceDownMuteRing.

FaceDownMuteRing has the value of 1 by default (enabled). To turn off and disable the mute call on phone face flips down feature, set the value for FaceDownMuteRing to 0 (disabled). Soft-reset.

By the way, this tweak needs to be done if you want your phone to automatically switch to speaker when you place it face down. That was a feature on stock ROM but it does not work on R1 or R2 unless you do this change above.

Real quick question...
How do I enable the nifty Slide to unlock OEM that you had on R1... seems like every time I powered off the device or when it powered off after a while, when I would power it back up, the screen would be locked with a slide2unlock...

That was actually a native Windows 6.5 lock. You can find it a few posts back: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=551

i found 2 issues so far with the Juicy R2 Rom

1. the installed Youtube application doesnt have sound (probably can be fixed with another youtube installation)

2. the music screen will glitch out when listening to music....i think this is because the screen will randomly switch to the landscape and portrait mode (when listening to music) causing overload. i had diconnect my battery to restart. ( i wonder if we can disable landscape for music?)

The mute was not on. I tried this about 6 or 7 times with both making and receiving calls and it didnt work -- so I soft-resetted -- and of course all is OK now. Hopefully it doesnt happen again.

I have sound in Youtube, did not have to re-install anything. I am on Sprint as well as you. For the second issue, I am not sure what you mean, can you clarify the steps? I turned music on and flipped the phone several times as well as opened the kb. The screen goes black in landscape but album art comes back if I go back to portrait. No slow down or hickups in music though.

Anyone use the XDA_UC to install their cab files? How does it work? Do you create a folder on your SD card called XDA_UC and put your cab files there? It automatically installs them when you're flashing the ROM?

You mean your phone would automatically switch to speaker when you put it face side down? It did not work for me on both - R1 it did not work before the carrier cab and after; until I did this registry change. On R2 I did not try without the carrier since I did provisioning during the boot. Still had to do that tweak to get it to switch automatically. I also recall that early beta testers reported on IRC that this was not working in this ROM.

Can someone else confirm this? Thanks.

So the animated wallpaper works! Did that happen new in R2 or did I just not wait long enough for it to work in R1?

Anyway... anyone have a link to some new animated papers? Is there some sort of tool you can make animated papers with? It doesn't seem like its a normal gif?
