1st. Flash r6 then hard reset for clean install. Soft reset
2nd. Install the Htc Client included in this post. Soft reset
3rd. Change the SMS in system/inbox/externalaccount to SMS.htc
4th. (optional) re-install the acrosoft native client. Before i did not do this with the older version of the HTC Messaging Client and it worked, but i wanted to be safe and reinstall. Soft Reset!

5th. Install the MMS Fix for Sprint for MMS to be sent and recieved. Soft RESET!

Presto! We Done and its stable enough for me. Remember to view MMS you have to open the message thru your manila tab then hit all messages or hit your email icon thru the start menu.

Landscape works well and responsive, i just rotated the phone and its switched into landscape, you can also slide the phone open and no lock ups, so far. R6 is much faster than R5 as i flashed yesterday and can see a big difference.

You try it and give feedback.:headbang:

hey, i was tryin to figure out how to do step 3 here above? where do i go to change this sms to sms.htc?

my suggestion or question is: since there is so many individuals that like/dislike the new ROM because they wanted this and did not want that but will like this.
My suggestion is since HTC Messaging is a seperate app or can be installed as that is it possible to installed the messaging from Sense 2.1 as a temp fix till the correct coding has been aquired..... just a taught

We need to move these threads to Google Wave.

It makes these old school forums look like ancient archeology.

There would be no more repeated questions, refreshing pages, going from page to page, searching for cab files within the thread, waiting a long time for an answer, wondering who's online. Its all nicely laid out in real time with all attachments nicely organized on one side, you can see people typing as they do so it can be more chat like, you can quickly and efficiently search, developers can easily work on cab files together without posting and re-posting, and do a crapload of stuff that I don't even know about yet.

We are obviously all here because we are cutting edge people and settle for nothing less than the newest and the best technologies. These forums will be obsolete very soon - they run off of technology from the mid 1940s - somebody's gotta start the movement...

Use a registry editor. Hlkm-local/system/inbox/externalaccounts

If you cant simply rename it there from SMS to SMS.htc

Create a new key

copy the strings exactly how it is in the SMS folder to the SMS.htc

Then delete the SMS folder, but make sure everything is the same. Then soft reset.:headbang:

Nope...not that I am aware of...the OEM version is 9 boxes, that size. The 16 was an attempt (a good one I might add) to keep the stock look...so I think you are either:
1. stock
2. 16
3. 20
4. Maxmanilla (20)...but more customization
:)

Hey guys, having a problem that I can't seem to fix and search isn't giving me anything that works. If someone here can help me, that would be great. Thanks.

A lot of people are saying the bluetooth is fixed now, but it still doesn't seem to fully work for me. When I use a Motorola H800 headset, everything seems to work fine, but when I pair it with my Pioneer AVIC-F90BT, I start getting problems. Dialing out works great, but whenever I receive a call, the phone hangs and just keeps vibrating and sends the caller to voicemail. Also, instead of sending them to voicemail after 5-6 rings like normal, it rings twice and gets cut off like it received an ignore command. When I tried a different phone though, it worked fine. Calling and receiving were smooth.

Just not sure why it would work with my headset but not with my headunit. Hopefully someone can help me out, thanks.

That is what I would like to see also, but that cab doesn't exist.

I used the 16 app program for a few days, but didn't like the look of it.

Hey all, look I really need some help. I know some are gonna say look a few pages back or something like that but I've been looking for days and hours today. I work 40+ hours a week and I have spent a lot of time looking into this 1 issue. I've used ppcgeeks for a while and have helped many others so I'm not just a lazy moocher. If someone can just throw me a bone on this one because I'm just so dead tired and I have to get up very early for the 6th day in a row. I would really really appreciate it.

Obviously the ringer is what I'm having problems with. Some people say they are not but I don't understand how. This has been happening since R5 and I have R6 now. SMS sound wasn't working in R5 but is in R6 now. I was getting the corrupted ringtone issue in R5 but no longer is R6, just that the ringer won't actually ring when I get a call. I pretty much miss every single phone call unless I am staring at my phone and see that someone is calling. Some calls have been very important for work and I've gotten in trouble for missing some so I really need to get this working or if I wanna keep my job in order I must use a stock ROM, I don't like the other ROMs unfortunately.

Thank so much in advance if anyone can help me out and I promise to return the favor always to the community.

Dank

What is your ringer setting set to?

Have you tried different ring tones to see if they work?

Try playing with the "quiet ring on pickup" and "pocket mode" and see if that helps.

Other than that, look into what youve installed that could be causing this because the rom is working for most people. Slight chance it could be a hardware issue.

I've tried different ringtones and still had no luck. I'll try to find those settings you mentioned, ROM is so new that I am not used to where everything is located(detailed settings and all.) Also I have also been testing on a "clean" flash without any cabs installed from my end at all whatsoever. The only cab I install is the one that Juicy automatically has come up when you first load up his ROM. I've tried so so so many different things and havn't had all my stuff back on my phone yet for quiet a while now so I could continuously test.

Thanks for your response, gonna try to mess with those settings that you showed me.

Here's a cab that enables entering the information. But I still don't know how to make the entered data appear when the phone restarts.

Sorry if this is a noobie question but where do I place the wav files that I want to use as alerts such as new text message alert? I used to be able to figure this out easily on my own, but I can't seem to get this to work on the my last few Juicy ROM installs. No matter where I place the files, it can't find them when I go to set the alert.

Thanks in advance

I'm going to guess that because wifi ICS is included with Juicy, that stealth mode should also be enabled. I double checked the registry settings were made, per here:

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=83581&page=2

However, it would be nice to hear from the author that stealth mode is enabled or not. It's possible there may be multiple versions around and this is totally for the wrong version :X
