The program is designed to reset to the previous settings on a soft reset, just in case that you overclock it too high and freeze the phone, that way you don't boot into an overclocked phone that will just freeze.

The way to make the settings stick is to turn ON the OC, then OFF, then back ON again. Then the settings will stick after a reset, just make sure you don't do it on settings that haven't been tested.

I wrote up a thread on how to install, use and set OCT 1.5 and what the settings mean.

On a side note, if I go into the picture viewer, I can't see the videos without going to the file explorer....

i love this rom!only one thing really bothers me and that is ive lost the predictive capabilities when entering a contacts name in the "to" field in an sms message or email.how do i get that back?

yeah the predictive capabilities are huge... is it still there via an option because its not there by default... you have to "add" a contact from the list rather than just type a few letters or numbers and have it suggest contacts based off of the input when you text message, etc.

predictive capabilities are huge, are they still there via an option because i dont have it either by default

im pretty sure it has something to do with finger kb since it doesnt support it. maybe the chef could make a version that has the default ezinput keyboard so we have a choice...

I have been testing this ROM and LOVE LOVE LOVE the speed of it. I do have one question. The text size in messaging is too small. On other roms, there is an called Screen. Inside of this icon is an option to increase the text size. Has this been removed??? Do you know the file name in the \Windows folder where I can manually launch it?? Thanks!

this rom is great! but i have another problem lol, i press the power button to shutoff screen and for some reason the screen comes back on without me pressing anything.

To change your text size:
1. GO TO EMAIL (YAHOO,GOOGLE,ETC)
2. CLICK ON AN EMAIL (A MESSAGE), YOU HAVE TO BE VIEWING THE MESSAGE.
3. CLICK THE MENU (THE PAPER ICON NEXT TO THE CLOSE X)
4. SELECT VIEW>TEXT SIZE> THEN CHOOSE FROM SMALLEST TO LARGEST.

Still no solution for the data connection problem. Maybe something I'm doing wrong?? Or is it by default?? I have reloaded the ROM several times but I end up with the same problem. When the data connection is turned off or it times out, it will not come back on, ie absolutly no data connections until you cycle the phone slider off and back on. The data connection will work again until it times out and then you have to cycle the phone slider again.

Is there a way to get the Windows Live software in this ROM? I used to use it for Hotmail push, but I can't find the Live client in this ROM at all and the Messaging app tries to use POP3.

I love this rom.

Ok, I would love to have the htc youtube app added and for the stock mp4 video player to work. Right now It just plays the audio. My daughter also misses teeter quite a bit:)

But this is the only rom I can find that I can pick up...go to the feature I want...and it would work.

I use CorePlayer for all my video playing needs. Hence the lack of the HTC YouTube app. I believe that all the requirements for it are included, so if you searched and found a .cab, you could just install it, and have the player.

Same thing for Teeter.

Ask and you shall receive. I'll also be on the hunt for coreplayer (or a nicely skinned tcpmp).

My problem is that NO video plays. I'll try some more players to see if I can get one to play....the kids need to be watchin the kartunes.

just wanted to say...this rom is AWESOME!!! I have used it for a few days now. Even Facebook works good with it!! I had previously used Energy roms but this maverick rom is what it says it is, blazing fast and stable, love it!

I can register Resco Explorer, but strangely, not Resco keyboard. And I have not idea what the problem is. None at all. If someone has any ideas, perhaps we can sort this issue out.

i couldn't register Resco Explorer & Photo manager pro. But if I install the preregistered ones, they works.

What's a good way to get Windows Mobile to automatically lock when the power button is pressed? There was a baked-in utility in my last ROM which did that, and I don't know which one is best nowadays. :)

I got your back on this one:laughing6: Under Settings>System, you should find SmartLock. Tick off "Lock on suspend."

yeah, what is up with the data? I can't turn it on! This is the only thing bad about this rom :) please help :)

Don't know what to tell you about the data problem. On my phone, data is just peachy. Which version are you running? Which provisioning cab have you used? Did you Task29 before flashing ROM?

I'm using US Cellular provisioning and did use task29 before loading. This would be the perfect ROM if I could get the data working when it should.

Sorry. Got nothing useful to tell you. Can you try other USC provisioning cabs? And you are using the Generic version of the ROM to add on the USC cab right? Is there anyone reporting the same issue with other ROMs for USC phones? Maybe over on XDA or Mobile Underground?

Yes, I'm using the generic with DCD's provisioning I haven't heard/read about other ROMs having this issue but that doesn't mean it isn't so. I guess I could try other provisioning if I can find any.

Yeah, sorry dude. I have no idea what the problem could be. Are there any other users who have come across similar issues from other carriers? Maybe there's supposed to be some USC-specific tweak that needs to be applied to get data working correctly?

yo maverick, whennnnnnnnnnnnnn is the real deal coming....i mean last night I WASSSSSSSSSSSSs PISSSSSSSSSEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDdd because my phone was slow as hell, pos i almost threw it out the window. during the day its "OK" but last night when i was drunk and needed it most it didnt come through. and im currently on medium hill's rom :( \



seriously ( I was about to throw the phone and be phoneless compared to a slow as phone lol )

You have to go into xtask. Just press the windows hardware key and it will bring it up then slide over to control and you'll see all the settings. The settings menu in mobile shell should be looked at for v3.

BIG TROUBLE! :angry3:

16 days after I installed the ROM, it completely sh*t the bed and got stuck on the HTC screen after a reset. I had to pull the battery, with no luck. Tried multiple times. Luckily, it booted into the bootloader. Flashing another ROM now.

If it helps, it happened one day after installing SmartLock, but I noticed that the SmartLock icon was not showing up in the SPB Settings > System menu, leading me to believe that the issue was with SPB Mobile Shell.

I consider it a waste of time to get the SPB Mobile Shell key because I removed it 2 days after activating it.
