anyone got USB tethering working on this ROM? I open internet sharing but the connection drop list is empty.

BTW: I apologize if this has been answered already. I did search the thread for sharing and tether.

This is a fast ROM by the way. I'm digging it.

I'm running 748 everything else stock. Seems to work but hasn't been too long yet. I'll update if anything happens.

can you create a build with the normal keyboard installed? With t9 enabled as well?

LOVE This ROM!

So, any SOD? How many days pass before u got SOD? I've now used MSM72xx instead of OCT 1.5. MSM72xx works better on my TP2 Sprint and got one SOD after 5 days. Loving it. Overclock to 710 MHz cos I'm little afraid of bricking my phone if overclock too high :drunken:

Why? Don't u like FKB 2.1? There's new skins on xda-dev that is inspired by iphone 4. I'm loving it.
The only thing I miss from normal HTC keyboard is the predictive text when inputting names on composing new sms. CMIIW, the predictive text on name is bundled with HTC keyboard only?? I'm not talking about the standard winmo predictive name input.

I absolutely love this rom, but I'm constantly getting the #777 data error from usc and need to soft boot every hour.. After messing with the phone for awhile, it looks like the phone is losing the data connection via the login,p/w and domain.

I'm not really sure why it keeps forgetting my info because it works fine for awhile, then BANG! it quits working again

Is there a fix for this?

Hey guys,

I just noticed something, not sure if it's normal, but every time I make a call my signal switches from EV to 1X. Is that normal?

Also anyone tried userROM or MaxSense ROM? Any speed advantages or rank them in order of ROM speed. Thanks.

yes, the switch is normal.

and it depends on the base rom. userrom is titanium only, maxsense is cooked into other roms, so it depends on what the chef cooked into the base. touchxperience is quick if you can get it on a good base rom. but it all depends on what you are doing with your phone, play around with different roms, different cabs and different UI's---don't forget overclocking...see what works for you

I"m about to start tethering my phone in my car a lot both via bluetooth and usbtoPC. I was wondering if the tethering Hack has been done so I don't get an unexpected BILL!
thks

love this rom

btw: as long as I'm at it. I'll be tethering the phone to a carputer. If anyone has any advice on good programs to use for GPS or otherwise I'm all ears.

-EDIT :: also need a video out option but don't see it on this rom. Anyone know if I can add it?

For those who want the normal keyboard - ezinput this will allow for t9 sms word suggestion email word suggestion and all those little autocorrections that this build does not have with the current finger keyb.

[PROJECT] EzInput 2.1.2016 WVGA MULTI 5 Languages - xda-developers

Took me HOURS to find one that would work. hope this helps someone else out!

I've seen it on every 6.5.x rom, so I switched to a 6.5 rom... sometimes I have to open and close it to get it from the dark screen with some tapping but at least i can see who's calling. I have 550 contacts I wonder if that's why some don't see this???

But others have seen it and chefs have said there's nothing to be done.

Pavanmaverick,

Have you considered using [Upd. 29 Sep 2010] Vostradamus Spb Mobile Shell Manager 5 in your rom?

Find it allows for alot more customization and it looks much nicer then the Stock UI.

Maverick SPB Mobile Shell ROM

Highlights:

I design ROMs to have the best compromise between speed, usability, eye candy and stability. Try out this ROM and see if I succeeded.

*Lean, mean, stable mutlitasking machine. At least in my hands! Test it out and let me know what needs fixing.

*Has overclocking built-in! Set to 748MHz, but can be easily changed.

*Uses Opera Mini as default browser for speed.

*Windows Start menu removed and replaced with XTask to increase free memory.

*Various speed and memory tweaks.

*SPB Mobile Shell cooked in Espresso theme. This theme has the best speed & RAM consumption:eye candy ratio in my opinion (after testing various other Shell themes).

Acknowledgements:

This ROM is a testament to the help and advice of countless people on the forums here, at XDA and Mobile Underground. Some of the key people are listed below, and if I have inadvertently forgotten someone, please let me know so I can correct the oversight!

Freeware included:
Midomi Music ID
Rhodium Keyboard controller for CDMA
Arcsoft for MMS
Opera Mobile
Opera Mini

By the numbers:
Boot time......................~ 76 secs
Free RAM at boot..........~110 Mb
Free RAM after use........~ 85 Mb
SYS version...................23134

Usual disclaimers:
I make no guarantees that this will work as advertised. ROM flashing is risky, and I assume you know the risk of bricking your phones. If you brick your phone, or somehow do something bad to it, I take no responsibility! On the other hand, I will be happy to answer specific questions and tweak the ROM so it works well for the great majority of people.
Despite everything, if you still insist on flashing this ROM, I really hope it works well for you. Suggestions, comments, critiques and encouragement are all welcome. Especially encouragement

Known Issues:

1. Overclocking sometimes does no stick after a soft reset. Don't know why this is. Just start it up again manually after a soft reset. FIXED: Removed OC. Please install the cab, linked to above in the acknowledgements section.

Updated to v2!
Changes:
1. Redid SPB Mobile Shell. Should not be expired on boot now. You should have 14 days to try it out.
2. Removed the built-in overclocking, since it doesn't seem to stick. Please install the overclocking cab yourself.
3. Includes my custom wallpapers and SPB Mobile Shell settings which you can install manually from the included folders.
4. SYS updated to 23135.
5. All settings should now be working.
6. Added Fingerkeyboard v2.1 to the ROM, replacing the original, crappy keyboard :-\".
7. Little more free RAM at boot.

And finally, here are the download links:
*Generic, no carrier data updated to v2*
*Sprint version updated to v2*
*Verizon version updated to v2*

i click on the l;ink and it says processing down load but the nothing happens just a blank page pops up

In the standard Start Menu there are icons for update PRL, and update Profile. These programs don't seem to be available in your Programs folder. Are they hiding someplace else? If not is there an easy way to automatically update the PRL scouring the internet for an update or calling Sprint.

Thanks,
jsgross

Hello everyone,

Has anyone tried VINdows ROM (Neo) or userROM? How does the speed and stability compare to Maverick?

bedlam247 01-15-2011 04:07 PM

Re: *Blazing Fast & Stable* Maverick MobileShell ROM *SYS 23135* UPDATED!

Too bad this ROM seems to be "flatlining" with discussions. I must say, I've tried VINdows ROM, and the other ROMs recommended by far more active fan base, but I find myself coming back to Maverick. It's the first ROM I have tried for TP2, and I have come back to it after experimenting with other "fast, stable, and business-type" ROMs. The other ROMs were great, espcially VINdows, but it was only marginally better in speed, and stability. Maverick is far more efficient ROM, and provide more than bare essentials.

Thanks for your ROM.

Re: *Blazing Fast & Stable* Maverick MobileShell ROM *SYS 23135* UPDATED!

Yes, this was my favorite too.

After looking for an alternative, I settled on Vin's clean (no Titanium, no Sense) rom from December 2010 and installed SPB on top. Next best thing to burning it in.

Before SPB, system memory was at 120 MB, making it nice, modern and clean platform for Mobile Shell. Once loaded with SPB, Program memory is at a respectable 92 MB.

userROM was a close second. Very clean, but was lacking some basics (like a good CommManager) that to me left too much to be desired.

I installed this ROM and like it very much. It is great! I have a question though, has anyone tried to display Chinese on this ROM, I used to be able to display Chinese on other cooked ROMS, but I am not able to do it on this ROM, all I can see are some blocks where it should be Chinese characters.

Answer my own question: found this at XDA developers
99.99% work east asian fonts support (incl. chinese, japanese & korean) and locale - xda-developers,
It seems that Chinese display is working fine.
