@#$% YEAH!!! 21681 is badass and fast as hell from my exp. on it,i think none will be disappointed with the build used,i know i sure as hell don't mind,also i couldn't agree with you more i hate those damn softkeys and hate the very sight of them even all skinned and pretty and what not :cussing:

Shark tried you rom out and looks good,except when I tried to install some programs I normally put on, and got an error of low internal memory. Is there anyway u can make a 6.5 rom without that many programs installed. Maybe a barebones type rom. Thanks. I appreciate your hard work.

hhmm... That's not good. You realize that several of the apps installed are removable right? Go to "Remove programs" and have a look. Not that this means there is no issue, but it may help you out in the meantime. I guess I'll have to look into this again. :(

6.5.X SharkieROM v2.1 is up!
 

I hate post up a new ROM after having read that last post about memory issues on the 6.5 ROM, but it's already uploaded so I may as well. I have not have any memory issues, but I've not run the 6.5 for a long period of time either. I'm sure I ran it for at least a couple of days with no issues. I also don't install any more apps though. I only use what's in the ROM.

Anyhow, back to 6.5.X v2.1:

-Touch Focus in camera is now working
-Widescreen mode in camera is now working.
-WM build 21681 (I just realized that 21681 does not have threaded email. :( I love threaded email. If I can add it, I will and update it in the next several days.)
-Different CHT layout

Download is available in the downloads section of the first post. I don't have time today to redo the first post.

And please, anyone with memory issues, speak up. 6.5 or 6.5.X either one.

Hi Sharkie,

I loaded your ROM2.0 6.5.X yesterday, and it works great. I don't have memory issues --- Program Memory is 66% used at startup. The only significant change I made was to skin everything in Dinik Anastasia style: tabs, icons and softkeys. (Thank God JWMD Icon Changer v2.8 finally loads my saved icon theme successfully! Version 2.7 would fail trying to load the saved theme.)

The only problem I see is the Carrier label occasionally appears briefly, but is mostly not showing. I hope you included that fix in ROM2.1.

Regarding the softkeys, I skinned them and removed the black background, so they look much better. (See attached pic.) For accessing the tabs, I arranged the tabs so the ones I use the most are in the center, and I can quickly get to them when they pop up. It works well for me.

Wow! Screenie looks tight! I did not include the fix for the carrier name yet. I played around it some last night, but still couldn't get it to work. I'm will continue to work on it.

The carrier name is only an issue if you're not using CHT right? I don't have any CHT issues with the name not appearing. Or do you mean you not wanting it to appear in the taskbar? I'm still unsure why that's happening and where it's coming from. I haven't seen it yet on v2.1. But yes, I fully intend to work on it until I figure it out.

I'm having the Carrier display issue on 6.5.X ROM v2.0, using CHT 2.0. It occasionally flashes on for a second, with 5-10 second breaks in between.

Just downloaded and flashed 2.1 While setting up the phone, I noticed that when selecting the Voice Command icon in Personal Settings so that it could be enabled NOTHING happens. (This was not the case with 2.0)

Installed Microsoft Voice Command v1.6.21725 from cab it seems OK

Other than that, so far so good

i think i was having the problem cause i would switch the cht carrier name and then would notice the flashing. then i would delete the carrier name/disable in the personalizer app and everything seems fine, @ least im not noticing the flashing now. so maybe the personalizer app conflicts with cht? or maybe the personalizer conflicts with towers?? (maybe a long shot but check this out) i was having issues with the time being off actual time by 1 hr. i live 1 hr from a time zone change and it would also effect the time on/off style similar to the carrier name flashing. so could it be possible its polling the closest tower frequently to connect(flash) the carrier name b4 the app has time to block/change. i dunno maybe a long shot but oh well...

sum things i noticed on the 6.5.x v2.0

being able to have/use/change the gif is great thanks agian. but is there a setting or reg. that changes the length of the gif? cause using the same gif i posted how ever many pages ago gets cut short before it goes to the welcomehead.png. its always played in full on others so thats why i was thinking there is a reg. setting to change the length (how long it goes)?

edit: \\:D/ now i remember haha, i have noticed that randomly (sumtimes on boot/ htc sense loading) or others times ( :dontknow: ) a input softkey pops up (in grey shifted all the way to the right) the only app that usings (that i know of) is total commander, its that same input softkey (greyish) shifted to the right. \\:D/

i noticed a couple things prolly related to cht (as its in beta) the call history notification (when used for quick links or free links)(also have call history tab disabled) doesnt have the bubble showing when an how many missed calls. was having issues w/ chteditor not showing the right softkey menu.

overall nice rom. sense seems to take a bit longer to load but once in its fast. im still setting it up thou, gonna post a screenie. i didnt like the cht softkey at first either but now its set up to were its a keeper for me. i use all 5 keys from left to right: tab switch, dumb, dumb, dumb, menu. now when you hit the tab icon it starts on home then you shift right in tab order, instead of sumwhere in the center of all tabs all confusing of which way did he go :dontknow: which way did he go.

So I cooked Personalizer in as having an empty space instead of SharkieROM like I used to have it, so that hopefully it would help with this issue. I'll try taking Personalizer out and see what happens, although, it will be hard to test since I've yet to see the carrier name on top and I've been on the same ROM for about 8 hours now.

I did notice the gif you posted was very long and only played about halfway through. I'm not sure how to fix that since I just managed to get a gif going at all, but of course, I'll look into it further.

As far as that greyish input square that pops up at boot in the bottom right, it's got something to do with MMTaskManager loading at boot. Turn the "Load at boot" off and you won't see that greyish input box anymore. It doesn't bother me any and it only pops up for a sec. at boot.

Call History Notification icon not showing missed calls has been verified. I'll have to search through that impossible CHT thread to see if I can find mention of this as a known bug. I hope so, cuz I have no idea how I could have managed to screw that up. If anyone already knows that this is a know CHT issue, please speak up.

The ROM takes longer to load one, because of CHT v2.0 (it's a big cab) installing as a cab at boot up and two, because of all the cabs that are installing at boot up. The more cabs that are auto installing at boot the longer the process is going to take. It's a trade off I guess, longer load time in exchange for the ability to remove more stuff.

Advanced Config has options under HTC Animation heading for changing things, including the run time. I haven't played with it, but you could. :)

voice command works fine for me out of the box, i just have to check the box to enable it. and this is the first rom i was able to overclock to 748mhz, atleast until i went crazy on the keyboard to check all the keys. :p

I tried this, at first look its set to 0, so I change it to 1, reboot and its extremely to fast. The gif finishes then you sit there waiting for the welcome head. So I went to set it back to 0 and reboot, theres no animation cause 0 is no speed but not disabled. Its gotta be in the .reg

I download the 6.5 sprint version and while trying to install sashima i get this message
"installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions.

I'm trying to install sashima to the storage card any suggestions.

No suggestions off of the top of my head. I've never used Sashimi. Someone else did report that error message when trying to install a cab though. I'll have to do more research on this error message to see if I can fix it. Sorry to not have an answer for you now :(

:scratch: ok...........i gotta figure this out,first am i the only vzw user on the generic rom? 2nd,if your with vzw on the 2.0 or 2.1 rom what is your results? with or without cht 2.0? does it let you set up everything (xda_uc & cht importer) then after the soft reset get stuck at tp2 boot screen?


ok this is whats happening,i task29,i flash the rom,it boots fine,it runs through xda_uc,prompts for soft reset (no manila files in any of the stuff in my folder) so with soft resetting when prompted and waiting then importing cht 2.0 settings it still does the same,so with no sd card in device and not running xda_uc or cht settings importer..............same result :( those of you who know me know i beta test for rom chef's so i know my way around a rom and how to flashdance and task29 and ect and none of that is the issue as i can instantly boot and run all other roms released no issues


even tried uninstalling cht 2.0..........nothing,i don't see anything in the changelog that should even effect anything as far as my issue pertains.........i know it's not the sense build as i can run it and am fixing to flash back to it,missing the hell out my stable rom but don't stress it too much sharkie,first i need other users on the generic rom with vzw to post some comparable results............like the cht 2.0 layout :) damn close to how i have mine


edit: looking at things from the positive side i finally have a issue to report :evil4: jk lol changed my mind,im gonna flash 1.3 so i can try the Sencity theme on your rom since it's not yet compatible with cht 2.0

edit: it's gotta be with the sdcard or something in the xda_uc folder and possibly the importer settings,seems i have tried each flash with 2 of the 3 removed but not yet with all 3,arrrrrghh why now? lol i gotta work tonight so i will try in the morning,so this next try will be with no sd card,no xda_uc,no settings imported and we will see what happens,just don't understand why i have no issues on any other 2.0 roms out there :scratch: and none when i install cht 2.0 on version 1.3

My favorite TP2 rom since I got this thing. A no CHT lite version would be sweet I dont even use touchflo, just good old today screen. I like the built in apps and the fact I can remove them using the settiings tab, not just a list of programs I have installed, if that makes any 'sense'.

I flashed SharkieROM last night on my new TP2.
I think I have Sprint 6.5 version 2.0.
How do I remove some of the icons on the Sense tab at the bottom of the home page like the facebook and twitter icons?

Do you know that CHT is installed as a cab when the phone first boots so you can uninstall CHT if you want to through Settings>System>Remove Programs :)

I do have a Twitter acct., but I never use it. I've thought about using it for ROM stuff, but I didn't think anyone would really be interested in following me on Twitter for that. It's not like I'm at the status of other big chefs that have many many people that are interested in their work. However, if there's enough interest in this idea, I'll gladly start using Twitter to post ROM stuff and add a link to my Twitter acct. in my info...

Damn! This really sucks. I would agree that it's gotta be something unique to something you have loading up. If and when you figure it out, let me know so I can see if there's something that I can do about it. Sorry man, I really hate that this has happened. One of the major differences between this ROM and v1.3 is the Home Tab being 2018 and Core being 2019. Could any of your mods be conflicting with either of those. I dunno, just theorizing...

You can remove and rearrange the Sense Tabs via the Settings Tab. Go to the Settings Tab and then go to "Personalize">"Home Screen Tabs": uncheck the ones you don't want to use and then on the left side of the screen you can drag them up and down and arrange the order to your liking.

I finally got an answer out of the retarded CHT thread about the Call History notifications not working and it is a known CHT v2.0 bug.

oh no i was refering to sense loading on boot (after power off/reset) i was saying it takes sense awhile to load but once it does it flies, IMO.

I have a siotuation. I just purchased a new l;aptop with win 7. when i click to dl the 2.1 file it asks to save as z7zip file which i do. it the shows the file being 191mb starts dfl'g then after 62kb it says its completely done. Im like wtf...lol.

I finally got the Carrier Name worked out!!!! What a pain in my ass it's been. On the flip side, I learned how to use 3 programs deeper than I'd ever used them before and I learned how to use another program for the first time! Gotta love this shi*!

That happens to me all the time because I have a spotty internet connection. Every time my signal fades the download stops wherever it is and says it's complete. Either just keep trying and hope your signal holds long enough or (what I did) just use a free download accelerator that supports resuming interrupted downloads.

Maybe it is something else...I just wanted to say this in case it helps because it's an issue for me.
