Hey so I got it! I'd forgotten that most packages for wm sense are referred to as manila and not sense like android. A quick search using manila instead of sense did the trick.

I'm assuming you know how to edit the registry, if not let me know...

I tried typing that in exactly as it is and it worked. I wish I would have thought of this a long time ago. I would have much preferred that over wm contacts. :)

Flashing issues - for anyone who is still trying to install this ROM on a TP2 refurb, here's what I had to do:

1. Download and run the new unlocker that Sharkie405 linked 2 posts back. The one that's here on PPCGeeks won't work anymore. I couldn't get the new unlocker to work on my Windows 8 PC so I ran it on my old XP laptop. Had to use the command line version that is all in Chinese. The readme.txt said to hit 'f' then 'y' and that seemed to work. Had to establish an Activesync session first.

2. Run the Sharkie ROMUpdateUtility.exe. This kept causing my XP laptop to bluescreen, but would run on my Windows 8 PC.

Finally I have my Sharkie ROM again.

first of all im new in this changing rom so sorry for being noob sharkie..Im using

sprint touch pro2 ( sim unlocked )

here's my questions

1.what is the consequense of not using task29 in to your rOM what error?..

2. if I dont use task29.cab and run your ROM ..can i go back to my old rom or

and what method should i do just to go back in my old ROM

3. If i dont want to boot in sd card where can i put it "in main memory of my htc" or in my computer

i get little confused about this bro.

4. can i use 6.5x rom even if my cp is not 6.5x just like u said if the start menu is

on top thats 6.5 If your start menu button is on the bottom then you're running 6.5.X.

5. and the last can i use this method in your ROM " how to flash from sd card" from ppcgeeks "put two files on ur sd card

Hey, sorry for not responding sooner. I've been on vacation the last couple of days. So to answer your questions...

1. If you don't task29 you may experience odd issues that are actually problems caused by left over stuff from a previous rom installation. Task29 wipes the phone so that you are installing on a clean slate.

2. Task29 is not a cab, it's an RUU. You can flash back to another ROM the way that you normally would, via that ROM's RUU.

3. You can run the SharkieROM RUU from wherever you downloaded it to on your PC.

4. Yes, you can flash whichever ROM you want, 6.5 or 6.5.X, it doesn't matter. If you flash one and want to try out the other, you can do that too.

5. I honestly can't remember how to flash from an sdcard. I'll look that up when I get home at some point and post back, if you haven't found it yet.

It's nice to see that this ROM is still being put to good use. Thanks for trying it out and let me know how everything goes. :)

yes thanks bro. i have old touch pro2 cdma actually i like to sell it but when i found out how to make it android thats the time that this phone is very inportant to me..but making it android make me sick coz is always reboot in wm... so i deside to update it to a new ROM..I try to search a youtube video on this one ..if you have can u share it coz all i can see in youtube is htc HD2 i did'nt see tutorial for htc tpro2 ..last question bro. if i want to go back in my old rom( the one that i erase) what should i do hard reset?..and what is RHODIUM CUSTOM RUU? and in your folder ROMUpdateUtility ..THANKS FOR THE REPLY BRO i will let you know if this thing ok..

So are you saying that you want to run Android on this device, or just get it working with Windows Mobile and sell it? If you are going to sell it, it will be worth more if you install this SharkieROM. This Rom is awesome... thanks to Sharkie for all his hard work over the years!!

I can't recall ever having that problem. My TP2 has been off for a long time now. I'll charge it up and flash the 6.5 ROM and check that out.

I'm not sure what's going on with your phone, but you have other issues. Clearly this Rom doesn't have an issue with not being able to receive calls and texts or someone would have said something a long time ago. I used this rom as my daily when I used this phone and never had these issues. Did you task29 before you flashed them?

yes i do task29 all seems fine but when tap message tab call history it goes in sense reset i dont know why that happen ..when i first flash it is all ok but when i put some different rom and bring it back to your rom that's the problem came I always do task29 whatever i put different ROM .......WELL IS ALL OK NOW I TASK29 IT 4X \\:D/:evil4: THIS WILL BE MY PERMANENT ROM COMPLETE AND VERY GOOD BATTERY LIFE ..THANKS SHARKIE FOR THIS ROM I HOPE U UPDATE SOME PROGRAMS IN IT SPECIALLY THE FACEBOOK CABS LOL..LOVE THIS ROM :occasion5: ..:headbang:

This ROM should work just fine with your device. If you have any trouble let me know. There might be some adjustments you have to make, but it's been so long that I can't remember for sure. Glad you finally got it working as it should be. I can't say that I'll be updating anything as there aren't more up to date apps for WM. All development has ceased. It's great to see this ROM still being used and appreciated. Thanks for letting me know you're liking it!

Thanks for your response sir. I have successfully installed the ROM. Need to know ! thing. I want my device to look like this, what should I have to do? What should I do to revert back to the original sharkie theme? Can you please remember what modifications to made after installing the ROM?

I can't remember off of the top of my head, but I think there were mods that were hosted here at PPCGeeks. I'll have to look around and see if I can find it. You could start by checking out the TP2 themes and mod section to see if you find it there. I'll let you know when I find out.

Hello sharkie,

I am using this rom. Facing a couple of issues.

1. Too less ring tones
2. faceboktab application authorization error.

The SINGLE .cab file link is dead & the splitted up files you posted here is in .7z format, so ppc cannot auto install them. Will you please show me a way to install the sounds.

I have activated the twitter link as described in your THIS POST. twitter is working like a charm but the facebook app & tab is not working properly. The app says "no internet access" & the tab says "Authorisation failed". Any fix or any alternate way of using fb app? I need the auto updating feature actually.

Any help shall be highly appreciated.

Hello Mr. Sharkie,

I have questions regarding the facebook tab.

1. I have updated the fb tab.cab file & now the issue is, when i click mssg, add frnd, poke etc. icon from the tab, it opens in iExplorer by default but before the fb tab update, the default browser was opera for tab operations. How to change the default?

2. how to link fb contacts with my phone contact list?

I shall be more than obliged if you kindly manage to spent a couple of minutes to resolve these minor issues.

Default browser is set via the registry. I can't remember for sure, but I believe I included the reg edits to make Opera the default browser in the actual Opera cab. Try re-installing Opera and see if that sets it back as the default.

I'm not sure on how to link contacts to FB in WM. I'll have to research that one when I have the time.

Co0kie's Home Tab is a modification of HTC Sense. Co0kie's Home Tab, or CHT for short, is not made by HTC, it was developed by Co0kieMonster. Here is the thread at XDA : [Manila][12-Nov-2010] Co0kie's Home Tab v2.0.0 - Final Released - xda-developers. It is basically a re-design of HTC's Sense home screen. Without CHT, most of the functionality you probably love about the Home screen would be lost.

CHT editor is another developer's addition to CHT. Here's a link to that thread: [APP][12-Nov-2010] CHTEditor v2.0.0.0 - Final Released - xda-developers It is through CHT editor that you can change the many available settings in CHT.

Read at least the first few posts of both of those threads and you will understand much more about how they work and what they offer. Also, both applications are un-installable, so if you want to see what Sense would be without CHT, you can un-install them. If you do that and then want to re-install them, you can find them in \MyDevice\Cabs using File Explorer. Also, if you didn't read the 1st post of this thread in detail, you should. Many questions you have may also be answered that way.

Hey Sharkie ... I can take a look for that ROM in one of my old hard drives. I think I saved most of them, no promises though?

Pulled my TP2 out of retirement (still have this ROM on it) and am using it with RingPlus on a free 300 minute/50 text plan that I snagged a month or two ago (can't beat free plan!). My battery has seen better days, but it's still chugging along. I sure miss the old days on this forum :(, probably the most fun I had on any forum!!! Obviously this phone can't compare to my note 2, but sure is fun and brings back some memories.

Amen is right! I do miss the times shared in this thread. My xda thread has been holding is own over there, but it'll never be the same. Times just seemed more fun back then.

I cant seem to find any of the roms to download. looking for sprint version. plz help.
