I just downloaded and flashed the Hybrid ROM from the VBN Files link and everything worked fine.

Gotta say, the rom is running really well for me. None of the problem mentioned so far. Fast. No problem on soft reset that I have noticed so far. Nice job. Will let you know if I run into anything.

So no more Sprint specific? The one thing that kinda got me was that I wasnt able to install Sprint TV, Sprint NAV, tabs. I dont care what anyone says...I actually use them! LOL.

Awesome to hear. I had signed on to remove that link as I thought that the ROM was unstable. Perhaps I need to task 29 or flash to stock. Been about 30 or so flashes since I've down that, lol!

I'm confused. I just meant that I was going to include StedySoft Provisioning in all the ROMs including the Sprint ROMs as the Sprint provisioning package messes with MMS straight from Album. I will still be making Sprint specific ROMs that include the Sprint Nav and Sprint TV tabs, you'll just have to go to Carrier Provisioning and install the Sprint cab instead of it already being installed for you. There is no difference between the two that I can see. I'll still use the same Sprint specific Arcsoft package that I use, although the generic one I cook in the generic ROMs also works for Sprint.

Like I said your ROMs are very good. I really do enjoy the difference you have compared to my "other" favorite cook. So after provisioning will the Sprint Tv and NAV tab be in the slider? Aslo facebook tab is cooked in right? I have been trying to download the 2.0 Hybrid but something kept going wrong and it would stall and stop downloading, but I finally got it today. I just want to make sure that the Sprint TV, Sprint NAV, and FB tab are present in the slider?

The Hybrid ROM is a Multi-Carrier ROM and therefore does not have the extra sprint tabs.

All Sprint specific ROMs released will have the sprint tabs. The tabs are not to do with provisioning necessarily. If I cook the tabs in, they are there whether or not a Sprint cab is installed. They just won't work I guess if you're not on Sprint.

I released the Hybrid at the request of bobbyblack and that's why it's a multi-carrier as I think he's on Verizon.

I'm still working on updating the normal ROMs...

Hey Sharkie!

One small bug to report. When adding/editing a task, I can't change the start/due dates. If I tap the field, it will insert the current date, and then it won't let me change it... I've tried using the keyboard too, but nothing.

It's really not a big deal, as I can change it once I sync with Outlook, but it might be something to look into if it's a quick fix.

My bad it took so long for me to get back, daughters B-day was yesterday.
So I had got VBN to load everything went smooth. I could:kt change the page pool for some reason or I might now know how too, but I tried for a long time. Had know problems with the Rom at all loaded CHT 1.7.1 RAN SMOOTH but I'm spoiled with 1.8.5.1 so loaded that and for some reason it seems like it run better not cook in , but it might just be me (imo) had no problems with email as you posted earlier in one of you post. I'll post the cabs. I use to provision when I flash ( been using them for a while now) And I have know problems at all, Sprint TV work pic's and everything elese on Sprint And I use Vinn's Sprint Tv & Nav or Multi-carrier ROMs. So the Rom runs problems free ( just the page pool) An I don't know if I'm really know what I'm doing, Because I never tried to change it before (page pool) I beleive you change it before you flash, well anyway it didn't work for me. Glad to hear. I don't know why I thought you were on Verizon. Had I realized you were on Sprint I would have included the Nav and TV tabs, oh well. Glad that it seems pretty bug free so far. Keep me in the loop on any bugs or glitches that come up as you use the hybrid v2.0 more.

When you open the Page Pool changer it should automatically point to the RUU_Signed.nbh. There are 3 rows of checkable circles. Just check whichever number page pool you want from the top row and then hit close. That should do it. To my knowledge, there's no way to check that on the phone after having flashed.

If you open the page pool changer back up after having changed it, it should be set at whatever it was you last changed it to. You can experiment a little with it till you get the hang of it.

Let me know if you're still experiencing memory problems on this ROM as well.

Hey what's up! Thanks for trying out my ROM. It's great to see a new face. I'm glad you're enjoying it thus far.

There's a regedit you can make to adjust the scroll bar width... or...

You can use AdvancedConfig. found in Start Menu>Utilities. Once you open the program the 1st set of changes that can be made is called "User Interface". Click on that and you will see the option to change the scroll bar width. Don't forget to soft-reset (it'll prompt you) after you're done making changes.

There are many many things you can adjust with this program, but be careful. If you don't know what you're doing you can screw things up pretty bad. The scroll bar width is an easy one though.

Okay... Memery holding good so far, set the page pool to 12 ( thanks to Kilp & CoryNat hope I spelled there names right) ROM been running smooth as a babys ass! No problems or bugs that I've noticed. Two thumbs up! And I'm running CHT 1.8.5.1 And memery holding at 78K, emails and everything in tack no problems... ROM still has blazing speed and I haven't load OC yet. From reading in the CHT thread the next update is supposed to be pretty big. No doubt he's incorporating the RSS feed into it as well... hopefully.


@ Everyone,

Been working on some ideas I had for the phone canvas so it matches the rest of the ROM a little more. I think it turned out well. I think it adds some color while maintaining a professional look. Phone will look like this from now on! Hope you like it :) Of course, with WM, all things are possible. Changing them is easy enough! ;)

gota say op that you defiantly stand by your builds and always have a fix or answer for peoples problems. im not at ppcg much cause of mods bs but i wanted to say thanx for the work you not only put out but fix if needed. got a epic today but its no wm device so its only here for 20dys but its a fun phone but i hope you get a wp7 device cause thats my next phone i keep and hope to see ya there.

Been OOS for awhile, sat on my TP2 , then was sent a replacement that was defective. I now have a working phone and already flashed the new 6.5.x HYBRID. LOVE the addition of RSS . Also like the new Dialer posted above. Once again , havent had a hiccup yet. Look forward to the 6.5 hybrid release.

Yes!

Fortunately, Sharkie has Advanced Config in the 21911 ROM (in Utilities folder). After loading it, expand the User Interface menu, and click on "Vertical scrollbar width". The default setting of 13 works great for me, but you have a wide range of options.

See my previous post if you want easy access to the Comm Manager.

All CDMA carriers? Yes! I see by your info. that you're on Verizon. It works with Verizon. There's Verizon provisioning in the System Tools folder if you do not already have your own cab you like to run.

Thanks for posting this - do you know how to change the brightness of th background, or add a drop shadow to the words? My start menu background is pretty bright in some places and the words disappear.

v1.1 6.5.x

The start menu text is controlled by the following two files in your \\Windows directory:

StartMenu_GridScene_480x800.cpr (Portrait)
StartMenu_GridScene_800x480.cpr (Landscape)

You can change the color of the text, as well as any "highlight" around them. You can edit the files with Notepad (don't use MS Word or Wordpad as they tend to add extra formatting to the file). I don't remember exactly which values to change, but there's only a few color codes in there (it's a very small file) so it shouldn't be too hard.

I have my start menu text set to (almost) black, with a gray "glow" so that it shows up nice on the GTX theme.

Glad to hear that changing the pagepool worked out!!! I'm gonna do that as soon as Sharkie drops the next 6.5.x ROM!

Would like to see the RSS either on top or all the way on bottom instead of quicklinks. Screen is starting to look cramped. I had to remove quicklinks from top line in order to save some chaos. Thanks to a couple mods and your kick arse ROM. I have this beauty =D>

That looks hot! The thread I was talking about is HERE. In post 2 he says there are .cabs. I've not checked any of it out yet. Let me know if any of you try any of the mods from that thread. If you want to use any of the files instead of the .cab, you'd probably just have to install them into Windows. If you guys try it, post some screenies!

I will, but the memory thing is what's taking so long. It's a lot to learn and long processes to test. I may upload a new version of each ROM this weekend with some of the other little fixes in it while I continue to work on the memory side of things.

I suspect it varies by phone, or batch of phones within a model, but I did a bit of testing and found that my best pagepool size is 10.5 (I know; odd) and 0 has been the worst after 3 to 4 days. This held true when overclocking to 710 as well (not that OC would effect pagepooling, but it was worth mentioning). Also my wifes TP2, that was purchased 4 months after mine, is best at 13.4 - so if you don't want to be any testing it looks like 12 is a safe bet. But I suggest testing to find out for yourself.
